Is it me or are these scuplts more substantial than the MOTU sculpts? The MOTU figures seem pretty puny to me.

I wish they weren't all posing the same way.  Be a lot cooler if they would be in their "move" or something.  Ya know...Ken and Ryu doing the "haduken" pose, or EHonda doing the hundred slaps....etc etc......

I like these a lot and the alien muscle they have on display. Will be interesting to see what else super7 does now that they are taking over for mattycollector.

Does the display have any updates or info on what is going on with the Alien MUSCLEs?

Thank you

I'd say they are about 50% hit and miss for me.

Zangief is too standard and his arms are too damn long. Ken/Ryu/Blanka have really odd faces.

Balrog/Sagat/Dhalsim/E.Honda look damn amazing though! Maybe Guile too but that angle is hard to see.

100% agree. As a huge SF fan, a lot of these just feel off. I'll probably still pick them up though.

It's almost like they're trying really hard to incorporate features of vintage kinkeshi, and as a result some sculpts look a bit odd because the subject matter is not Kinnikuman. I noticed that in the Series 2 MOTUSCLE sculpts too, from what I could tell from the small promo pics. I think a different sculptor must be doing the new releases because I didn't notice that with MOTUSCLE Series 1.

That said, all of these sets are awesome overall! Still amazing to think we're getting new MUSCLE toys incorporating all these classic franchises.

Damn. Those are pretty sweet. Some different poses would be welcomed but overall, I dig. Hopefully they can all (Alien, SF, MOTU S2, etc.) be priced in line with the original MOTUSCLE release at around $2 a figure. Either way, I see a fair chunk of change being sent in the direction of Super7. I also hope we see a color release. I'm already invested in the flesh color with the MOTUSCLE line so might have to hold off in the hopes of seeing more options with upcoming releases.

Looking at them again I don't mind the poses but too many have their hands almost straight out in front for my tastes. Just nitpicking though because I am such a Street Fighter fan and there are sooooo many keshi versions that I've had for decades already.

That Dhalsim and Bison are epic though. I'd wear a necklace of 50 Dhalsims like beads if I could! Sagat looks so cool too. Arms look like a nice size and they are up a little.

They are an unusual style.  kind of cross between standard and sd (don't really care for sd but I do like these) but as long as they're a similar price to motuscle I'm having them for the collection!

They look digital to me as well, but funny thing is I was supposed to sculpt these for Super7, but since I had a lot of family issues come up my time was compromised and I had to pass on them.

The MOTU figures were actually sculpted by the Chinese factory to speed things up since they didn't have a lot of time to get them made by last SDCC. The Chinese factory was made to resculpt them a few times, since the first ones they sculpted were hyper realistic. After some back and forth they had to go with what they had to make the deadline, even though they weren't exactly what they wanted. ;)

These look slightly different than the MOTU ones. A little more deformed. Im a huge fan of that. Maybe they had more liberties since they weren't being scrutinized by Mattel's licensing approval team. This is as good as its gonna get with Street Fighter and i couldn't be happier with the results.

Wow! That's surprising. Would have never guessed they were sculpted in a factory in China. Especially after all of the issues we have seen first hand with some lines being sculpted there. I think they turned out well all in all. Similar to these Street Fighter figures, I felt like a few of them could have used a little help but pretty accurate and clean for the most part. What would be the issue with them looking realistic? Not sure I know what you mean by that I guess.

That's cool they approached you to do them, pretty flattering. Seems like it would have been a whole hell of a lotta work though.

I think Chun-Li is a little cold, lol. She is awfully beefy too. Also can't help but notice the color differences in some of them. Hopefully that's not going to be significant across the retail sets. A few of them are absolutely top notch; E-Honda, Dhalsim, Vega (claws could be longer), M. Bison and Sagat, at first glance I thought they botched his eye patch and put it on the wrong side. Sadly, I feel like they missed with Blanka. Ryu and Ken aren't great either imo.

They definitely went more with the MUSCLE form and less on individuality of each characters pose/stature which is unfortunate. Like with the Alien release they will be obligated to have a multitude of poses which I wish they had incorporated here. Regardless of my griping, I will be buying these up given the chance. Does anyone have any idea on a potential web release date?
