Hey all

I recently started collecting mimps again and was lucky enough to find a shop selling the original MIMP's from 1991 however they only were selling single packs with only the neon colours.
I got about 50 unopened packs left not sure if its worth opening them, i opened about 80 packs and these are the rares I got:
Great Beast Neon green, Neon purple
Hydra Neon purple
Werewolf Neon green
Griffin Neon green Neon purple Neon orange.

It seems like the only mimps that were ever released here in SA were the neon colours in single packs only from series 1.

They also have the new 2006 rerelease of MIMP in SA coming in single, 3 and 4 packs.
I attatched my collection and the packaging of the series 1 neon figures from series 1 generation 1.

I havent decided what Im trading yet I still need to sort some stuff out. When I have I'l put it in the wants/trade thread

Yes, welcome to LRG wizard. You have got some uncommon figures in your collection but funnily enough they're not the ones you listed (apart from the neon red Griffin). The uncommon figures are the neon purple Kraken, neon purple Hobgoblin, neon purple Monster, neon yellow Cockatrice, neon yellow Windigo, neon green Jotun Troll, neon green Karnak, neon red Catoblepas and neon red Cyclops. Some of these like the Griffin is quite rare whereas others I listed are just uncommon.

I too would be interested in trading if you're keen. ;)

As you are so interested in completing your collection could you help me out with
that Italian Behemoth? You never responded to my reply message... Do you
still have any Italian Behemoths for trade/sale?

Thanks

Hi Darryl
Sorry about my late for take reply... At that time I understood you needed normal edition behemoth and not Italian version 2006.
So I'm sorry but I haven't italian figures except about one neon red Kali... Just that one.
I'm so sorry for your long wait to receive a negative answer by me....
I hope we can trade other figures in future.

Federico

No problem Federico, shame it wasn't the Behemoth Italian release!
Do you know of anyone that has this sculpt in Italy and would be
prepared to trade?

Sure if I get something you need! I understand you only require a
small amount of figures now!?

Thanks

Hey there. I'm also in SA and collect MIMP. I can confirm that the series one figures I have are all green, purple, orange or yellow, while later series included pink, blue and a lighter orange.

What shop did you find MIMP at? I've tried bidorbuy with no luck as yet.

Hey,
I bought my stuff at the factory toy shop in Cape Town, unfortunately they dont have any left of the 1991 series.
They do have the new 2006 (2nd generation) release both series 1 and 2. The series 1 figs only come in single packs and theres no way of telling what fig is inside. The 2nd generation comes in 4 packs so its easy to complete a set as you can see the figs you getting.

You should check if bidorbuy has a place to put requests, but I doubt theres any mimps still in circulation after 18 years. You can also try Ebay they usually have some decent deals.

I can't understand why matchbox doesn't just do a proper RE-RELEASE of the original 1991 line.
They can have a 20th anniversery re-release or something
Btw can you remember if the 2nd series was released here? and did you get your collection in single packs like me or did they have 12 and 24 packs?
Cheers

Thanks for the info wiz. I got all my MIMPS in single packs, but they did have MIMPS in Kellogs cereal packs here, which were a mix from different sets. My bro and I got winged panthers and warlock in the Kellogs packs, plus some others, but the Kellogs packs didn't come with cards if I remember correctly. What MIMPS were in series 2?

Will PM you with questions less relevant to this forum.
