I've loved monsters of all kinds since my early days, and that's why I loved my MIMPs. My interest in them was only recently renewed, and while they made some truly obscure monsters, I think a few were overlooked that would have made great figures. If MIMPs ever come back again, I'd like to see:

Chupacabra- I don't think they were discovered back then, but they'd make great 5- or 10-point monsters now.

Sphinx

Dracula- Not Vampire or Wurdulak, the big guy himself. Or maybe do Vlad the Impaler instead.

Jack the Ripper

Zizz- Aerial counterpart to Behemoth and Leviathan

Scylla

"Grey" Alien

Cthulhu- He'd be the Star value monster, for sure

Satan- The version from Dante's Inferno. Somebody would probably have a problem with it though.

Mermaid

Ourobouros- A dragon eating his own tail, it would make a unique looking figure.

Asiatic Dragon

Kappa

Belphegor- Demon of Sloth, he always sits on a toilet

Rat King- a hive of rats whose bodies have fused into a mass

Kamaitachi- A Japanese weasel demon brandishing sickles

The Chupacabras only dates to 1995, so it couldn't have been tjere!

Good list! I was going to say: Scylla, Sphinx, Cthulhu, Kappa and Mermaid but you covered all those. A Naga could be cool as well.

Wow! great list! I've always thought the questing beast, Pegasus, unicorn, any of the other Hindu & Egyptian gods who they didn't do, Grendel,Midgard serpent as well. There's loads they could've done! Instead we got 'monster in the closet', spiders, wacky wrestlers, all of which I like, but not really true to the initial concept for the line.

Scylla and Kappa have already been mentioned, I see. I can't remember the name, but I would have liked a small scale dog lion from china.

I'd love to see a Lovecraft MIMP series including Cthulhu, Nyarlothotep, Creature from Outer Space, Yog Sothoth, Hastur, Ybb Tstll and several other names that make my spell check want to explode.

I'd like to see Lovecraft minis in general. I could really see those monster penguins from In the Mountains of Madness as LRGs.

Also, the Headless Horseman. There was a MIMP called Headless Man in G2 but his legend is different, he's not the pumpkinhead guy I know and love.

There is a Japanese line of rubber figures similar to MIMP called Neclos Fortress that did include some Lovecraft monsters: Cthulhu, Tsathoggua, Nyarlathotep, Innsmouth and maybe a few others. Unfortunately the figures are pretty hard to get a hold of, but they're awesome. The figure in my avatar is a hobgoblin from that line.

Headless Horseman would be great.

Jack the Ripper

This could generated some heat - Mcfarlane Toys did encounter some protest over their Jack the Ripper figure since is a real life killer. But some controversy and toys that some parents despise are always fun, ins't it?

We do have the ectoplasmic ghost, but a blob / ooze / killer slime / Colour Out of Space (as indeed Lovecraft is fun) is a tropes of sci-fi, horror and fantasy fiction and would have been nice ;)

A have LOVED a killer ape / gorilla / King Kong as well - again not from mythology or folklore per say, but a tropes of pulp fiction, comics and B movie lore for sure.

These are great suggestions. Most of what I was thinking has been suggested. I suppose a modern line could be pretty varied. You could even dip into pop culture and conspiracy theories. Aliens archetypes too, might work:

- Martian Invader - angry alien with a raygun lol - only 10 points bc they just catch Earth viruses and die, right?

- Men in Black - The figure could actually include two MIBS, one directly  identically shadowing the other. Even as a single figure, this guy could look pretty cool. 5 points, or 10 if they're in a pair

- Killer Animatronic - pretty popular these days. It might be hard to choose an animal for it. 10 points

-"Faceless" -basically a Slenderman, another popular modern monster. No face, suit, long arms. 15 points

- Illuminati Lizard - a lizardman in a suit, perhaps smoking a cigar. Maybe stepping on a human skull just for added effect. 15 points

- Alpha Draconian - Very large alien space lizard tyrant.  20 points

- Eldritch Horror - just a catch-all creature that isn't Cthulhu. It might resemble the Kraken figure, but with more mouths and weird details. 20 points or even 25.

- Deep One - we never got our chance to see the Creature from the Black Lagoon, but maybe a Deep One could suffice .. 10 points?

- Cyborg - a brain chipped gorilla could be cool. Or a Gorilla with an industrial looking computer for a head. Maybe it has a missing arm with just wires and tech junk hanging out of the socket. -10 points

-Sleep Paralysis Demon - it could look like anything, really. I'd give it intense looking fish eyes and it would have a squatting pose. -5 points

You could also dip into the lore of other countries we don't typically draw inspiration from. The Philippines have a unique vampire called the Aswang, and the Lakota have a Dragon-worm called the Unhcegila, for two examples. I'd definity add Thrummy Cap - A Scottish goblin, and Ogopogo the Canadian Nessie.

I would avoid Gods and Goddesses. There is already the complication of Kali, Ganesh and Hanuman meddling in Monster affairs! lol, and there are so many unused monsters.
