Lol... And when I say vintage, I mean I think I was probably 8 years old when I drew it. Around that time I was a HUGE MOTU fan. Anyhow... Just going through stuff at my parents house and found it, and I thought I would share. For what it's worth! ; )

He looks like he has a beer belly a little bit...

This is morose Trap Jaw after Skeletor has been banished, reminiscing about the good ol' days, and spending too much time in the Lazy Boy eating cold pizza and drinking beer.

This thread reminded me of a project I worked on with some friends in the early 90's. We made up a Street Fighter II style fighting video game using Battle Beasts characters, and in a notebook we'd made profiles for each character, including a hand-drawn portrait and a list of special moves (complete with button/joystick motions for each). We'd also come up with names for all of them since there was no checklist available to us; most were the name of the animal mixed with a normal name, like "Zebrett" or "Armadylan".

A few years ago I found it in a box of old yearbooks and took it with me to show my brother in Japan on my first visit over. I left it there with him and recently asked if he still had it so I could post some scans to share here, but he apparently either lost it or threw it away :(

Bach -

That reminds me of when Nintendo Power had a contest to design your own game that I entered. I drew up levels and characters (actually it was a Spider-Man game) but I even went into details about the patterns that the boss guys would follow when attacking you. It was a kind of cross between Mega Man and Bionic Commando (which in my mind was a wonderful example/model of what could be done with a 2D web slinger).

Ironically the person that won the contest in the pages of Nintendo Power, was none other than Scott Campbell who you may recognize as future Wildstorm artist and Gen13 and Danger Girl creator!

Anyhow - I'm starting a thread for childhood drawings and I'd love to see some of your drawings dude!!
