I emailed him as soon as I read this announcement. I haven't heard back from him.

Same here. Has anyone else heard back about this yet?

I emailed him, but he has been pretty silent on Facebook and Twitter as well, maybe something is up in his personal life. I will email again. That or he is just inundated with replies, and it is taking awhile.

No. My first impression says this is very lame. Do not make an announcement and then fail to respond. What about when you need to email him to see where your 20 figs are at?

I'm assuming that what happened was he was just overwhelmed with responses, and hoping that we begin to see regular communication and updates on this really exciting idea.

If it were me I would hope I would have responded to all with a form letter or updated my blog by now.

The part about accepting 5 a month and laying down some light 'groundwork' for the actual plan was an update sent out after the initial announcement, but I agree it's not much. At the same time, unless dudes already have finished figures ready to cast, what are people emailing him about? If I were him, I would focus on the dudes that were ready to roll in order to gain some momentum.

Thats not cause he's already a fan of your blog is it? I've been a jaded artist for too long and in too many group shows to not suspect this guy will play favorites. Especially with only 5 figs a month. Hes got 4-6 months of interest in the LRG forums. Who knows how many have seen his blog or how many other toy sites hes been mentioned on. Good luck to all that participate I truly hope you get your figs made. It really is a great idea and an opportunity for some.

I finally got off my duff and picked up some new sculpty to get started on mine. Nothing I can really show as of yet but I am pleased with my concept thus far.

As far as Mad Joe goes he is getting bombarded with messages - I would just expect it to be a slow process, but know he is a legit, good guy with the best of intentions.

Watching old anime as if it's in style, since whatever is trending nowadays just wouldn't suit me at all.

Your not alone. I tried to contact Mad Joe myself and he hasnt reply none of my emails. I been over a week already. I can see he's really busy on this project. So I'll shoot him another in a few days if he doesnt reply soon.

My little project is on standby for now til I get some info from him.

i have several ideas but i have no idea how to make them :( i think marty's clawshine should be included in any new muscle line. i have two different cthulu muscle ideas and a couple other more traditional ideas. yes i have a satan cross in the works! i also would like to see the 91-3 keshi version of satan cross included in any future muscle offering

Sculpting on that small of a scale is a lot harder than I thought

Really excited though to see what peeps on this board come up with... Any hints Taichi?

Yeah. The only hint I'm giving is that he's inspired by Sunshine and King the 100 Ton.

he's completely original, and I think EVERYBODY here is gonna love/want one.

I'm gonna get to work on it in the next week or so!

I couldn't wait. I roughed out a picture of the guy at work today:

Posted Image

with the original line, I always thought guys like Sunshine, and King the 100 Ton gave you just a little more for your money. They were the heavyweights, the big guns. I wanted a figure that paid homage to that, but kept with the fun theme of M.U.S.C.L.E.

it pays homage in a big way. Even to guys like Parthenon, and Mixer Taite! Just a cool, strange guy, who wouldn't seem out-of-place in a regular M.U.S.C.L.E. Fourpack!

Plus, it'll be a pretty easy custom to do. I think I'm gonna try to find a way to texture the sides a little. If my plans for sculpting/constructing the custom work out, It should be a very cool, very fun figure!

I'll post updates as the figure gets under construction!

and yes, the spelling is correct, it's Pyramydo, not Pyramido, even though they're called the Pyramids. ;)
