So I want to try making molds of some of the more unique toys that I find here. Mostly for fun as a I need a new hobby. Would you guys recommend buying a kit like this:

Or should I just buy all of the materials separately myself?

I don't ever really plan on sculpting anything self, but just want to recast some cool stuff that I have.

Thanks! :-)

Also, would this stuff be good for making molds?

It would cost me about $30 total to have a 1kg/2.2lbs shipped to my house here in Korea.

So far you're bringing a lot of interesting stuff to the board as well, so I wouldn't be all that worried about your post frequency.

I totally agree with Mantis Fang smooth-on are the best products I have used. and the top link you posted for Reynolds is a great supplier for their products. If I remember correctly if you buy directly from Smooth-On site they do not ship international but don't quote me on that. Hit me up if you have any questions on getting started or mold making help, I would be glad to help.

Moke,
