Relatively new to collecting, just wondered if there has been a list anywhere of all the rarer colours of figures in series 1 and 2, just trying to get a handle on what's common and what's not? I'm not talking about premium colours simply regular colours of regular figures (i.e. cyan jabberwock, orange ganesha etc)

The rarer Series 1 figures tend to be from the "neon" range. Like Bigfoot & Harpy in neon yellow or Cockatrice and Hobgoblin in light purple.

There's also the decipher board game figures too. Those are basically in Series 2 colours except are richer in tone plus the difference in green colour. This I believe has known to include a Jungle Green Behemoth, a Cyan Tengu, a Magenta Triton & an Orange Kraken. Well I should know, I previously owned this item!

As regards to Series 2 figures, they're not my cup of tea therefore I don't collect them. However I do know that most collectors on here enjoy them. Personally, I'd say the most common are the exact opposite of the two you mensioned (i.e. Orange Jabborwock & Cyan Ganesha). The other least common figures would be Green Dragon, Magenta Jabborwock, Orange Warlock, Green Ymir, Orange Swamp Beast, Cyan Golem, Magenta Scorpion Man, Magenta Loch Ness Monster, Cyan Tarasque, Cyan Bishop Fish & finally, Orange Herne the Hunter.

Hope this helps! :)

Using ebay as a guide the following series 1's are rare/uncommon:

Great Beast NY NR
Hydra NY NR
Werewolf NY NP
Behemoth NY NG
Griffin NY NR
T rex NY NR
Cockatrice NY NR
Cycops NR
Tengu NY NG

Not sure about the lower point monsters. And not sure about the order of the rarity

Interesting, I've had about 5 neon yellow cockatrice figures, but only one light purple one. Also same for neon red griffin, had lots of them but few neon yellows.

Also is it just me or mad scientist in neon red is not as common too? It doesn't get much attention on ebay, but neither do light purple ogres I've noticed too.

As mentioned in another thread rarity also depends on the region, something rare here might be common in the uk and vice versa

If you go to darryls website http://www.monsterco...1-matchbox.html

The figures that didnt have a release for the original four colours, eg great beast not being released in yellow or red then the corresponding neon colour is significantly rarer than the neon colours that the figure had an original colour release.
From the wendigo upwards not all the figures were released in the original 4 colours.
