Mini Boglins, gold and samurai

boglins gold samurai

Best Answer SamuraiCC , 04 April 2021 - 12:34 PM

Hi there, that gold one is a bit worse for wear. In nice condition still covered in the gold paint they do seem to go quite high £30 & up is not unusual. Your one that has turned green & lost most of its paint unfortunately so I'd imagine it wouldnt go anywhere near that but you never know these days...

I personally don't think any of the samaurai's are worth much more than £10 each, maybe £15 on the high side.
The £30 one you mention I don't know why anyone would pay that but its possible that new collectors may be desperate enough for a certain figure that they're willing to pay over the odds. Go to the full post

I'm curious to know what these are worth. The gold boglin is in very rough shape, not sure what happend there. But on the other hand, I don't think I've ever seen a gold boglin on ebay, so I have no clue what it could be worth.

The samurais are hard to know as well I think. There was an orange that recently went for €30, and another orange for €10. Anyone more rare than the other?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks guys.

No problem at all.

The gold painted mini boglins found in Kelloggs were actually yellow underneath but we have seen them turn green before like your one has but what can you do.

Good luck.

Oh, so a gold turning green is a thing. Good to know! I have three other golds in good condition, but only one in mint (no visible yellow). There seem to almost always be a hint of yellow on gold boglins :/ too bad

Just to add that there are gold painted Chiefs from the main series as well as gold painted cool dudes that were found in Kelloggs cereal. The Chiefs are mostly common & worth a fraction of the price of the smaller Kelloggs ones.

That's cool that you have several other nice examples, are they Kelloggs ones too?
Definately some yellow showing through here & there is normal after nearly 30 years but yeah the turning green is a weird phenomenon. My guess is it could be due to being stored in heat/sunlight or maybe being next to something that it's reacted with :-/

I think they might go green when they are deprived of oxygen. not sure why!

it has value as curiosity, and these days people will orobably spend at last 20 on it.

Samuri 10-15 max I agree.
