I thought i posted a clear picture of the ysnt area..if youre not happy i can do it again/better?
What do you want? Pictures of my claw in custom situations and settings?
Its a genuine figure. Why would someone come here playing around?
Got my ebay just about squared away. Maybe ill go that route "for all fairness"
As for orb weavers id do 3 bw's to one.the widows live about 2 weeks in a Ziploc.
Orb weavers are hard to come by in my region.and centipedes. Not sure how those animals would handle a ship.

easy there. to clarify I'm personally not interested in the figure at all, was just trying to help but I must have missed if you posted that image already

I feel like the answer to that is obvious, isn't it? Pop on a forum, sell a knockoff for big bucks and disappear. Profit.
I'm not accusing you of this and am honestly just trying to help you, but it's not like it hasn't been attempted and/or happened before. Aside from the fact that this specific figure has been bootlegged VERY well, you're going to really have to prove yourself to sell this thing on here, or eBay for that matter consider you have 0 feedback in both places.
and orb weavers are pretty much the only spiders you can find in the woods around here from Sept-October

nah man a guy in France was/is selling bootlegged set of Claws in all the colors; I have the purple one myself. His have an altered mark on the back but otherwise look pretty much identical to the real ones.

southeastern Missouri, lots of "lush forest" here, if by lush you mean thick underbrush full of poison ivy, chiggers, and ticks. I'm not a fan of the woods here honestly.
thought you were joking about the spiders but I see from that photo that you aren't. tons of different spiders here though aside from orb weavers, in my back yard alone I've seen probably 8 different kinds of jumping spider in the past few years. saw a pretty cool white crab spider on my sago palm this morning.

I'm with you 100% on this claim and opinion. I swear this side of Missouri is bug mecca. There are so many of everything everywhere. Stuff I never see anywhere else...stuff that I'm sure someone is creating in a lab somewhere...not to mention I think every type of deadly or semi deadly poisonous everything lives here. I just moved back further south and am probably closer to you now, Bachamn. Now I'm in Bonne Terre. If you like rocks and spiders tourfwenty...clever name by the way...sounds like a drunk stoner...you could do no better than SE Missouri for sure. Bring your purple muscles with you, claw included. Surely there is something around here you would want in trade...I've got a little of everything!

i DO have family i've been meaning to visit in MO.
Springfield, Ozark, and Hollister...
I'll bring #153 too.
definately a dense woodland mecca, I agree. I remember taking a dump near a creek in MO. and flies were dumping huge maggots right on the loaf! that doesn't happen here. It only rains 9-12"/yr. and the sun is AALWAAYS freeking out... Been in the desert too long, and aat ssuch a high altitude. It gets old.
not a whole lot to do here, Biking, hiking, some camping, school, crappy jobs. The politicians are transparent puppets(more than usual) makes sense why Breaking Bad was filmed in this town. It's pretty much like that. read some of our news....
anyway, ya i like Mo. and need to go there soon, and Seattle.
Mo. winters are brutal though, aren't they?

sure thing, BACHAMN.
I dont have a car right now though. I'll be in ABQ. for a while. A beer and chat would be prime.
One of my good friends is a brewmaster at the Marble brewery.

sorry to keep derailing your claw thread with spider talk, but yesterday on my lunch break I watched that crab spider kill a effing bee.
Went and got my camera and took some shots of it carrying the thing around by the neck on top of a flower. I'll try to get one uploaded for you all later. crazy
I should admit there are definitely areas of Missouri wilderness that are really cool, especially in the western/central part of the state. Tom Sauk mountain is like an ancient peak of a range that used to be somewhat like the Himalayas. And really the entire area where I am was previously the inland sea so it's full of fossils and old rock formations as well, but being on the river the majority of my surroundings is farmland, which basically means floodplain. I drive at least 30-45 minutes to get to any interesting spots, but nothing really good unless I go about 2 hours. Usually the aforementioned insect problems usually makes it not worth the effort.
And my dad used to live in Albequerque back in the 90's, so I spent a few summers there. I think I wouldn't mind high desert though; I'll take heat over humidity any day.

i apologize in advance for derailing this thread further, but Taum Sauk is great. i grew up in the 'Ozarks' along the Ozark National Public Riverways on the Current & Jacks Fork Rivers and it is beautiful there also
(about 1.5hrs east of Springfield, 2.5 hrs. SW of Cape Girardeau). The camping and canoeing is great also, and hiking is great too if you go either in later winter/early spring or mid Autumn before the rains begin.
definitely abundant with various types of insects for sure. i don't miss the humidity either. i live in north MO now, near the Iowa border and for the most part the summers are nowhere near as humid/overhwhelming since we get a lot of winds from the north, though the winters are much colder in comparison.

Really wish I had a macro lens to work with, but this is the best one of the group. Homeboy kept hiding from me. which didn't exactly help.

I could fox with a nature photography thread; hell I need to get off my ass and build a nature photography portfolio site to be honest.
Nasty looking face on that one you got there though, but yeah doesn't look so big. Probably true for most colder climates though? I was in Florida over the summer staying with a friend and saw a spider standing on the surface of her pool. At first I thought she had a bunch of bumps all over her back, but when I got closer to take photos I saw it was a swarm of baby spiders clinging to her. I got some pretty sweet shots of that before my Uber arrived, and it was easier because she was pretty big; probably 5" diameter if you were to spread the legs out. Once I get some edits pulled out I'll start that thread with that shot.

Sounds like a nursery web spider -- looks like a wolf spider, but can walk on water.
