Greetings. This is my first question here but how do I tell which Premium Kinkeshi is legit?

I am planning on browsing and I am hoping to score legit kinkeshi. I already know of the "Y/S*N*T" copyright but I want to make sure I score legit kinkeshi without opening the box.

Premium kinkeshi? Are you talking just regular kinkeshi? Are you buying original or the new ones?

The first sign to look for is warping, original kinkeshi hardly ever have a Warp. noticing the markings is good most of the time but a lot of bootlegs have the markings as well. And one of the best ways to tell is the material a lot of times bootlegs are a different type of rubber.

All righty. I am starting off with the Premium Kinkeshi sets by Bandai. What i found out is that the Toei sticker with Pero the Cat could be faked.

Legitimate Premium Kinkeshi Boxed sets have the Pero the Cat with アニメーション (Animation) instead of something stupid like アニメーショソ (Animatioso.) The ン (n) and ソ (so) aren't distinguishable to untrained eyes.

The sticker should also have the Toei Watermark on the back. How do you check? Peel the sticker off.

If these tests checks out then you have legitimate New Kinkeshi.

What a strange conversation.

No doubt.

I mean, I'm *far* from an 'expert in the field', but is the bootlegging of 80s Kinkeshi some sort of huge industry?

I think the discussion is about the new Premium Kinkeshi line. I, for one, am fascinated by this thread.
