Love that some fellow LRGers are Talking Heads and King Crimson fans, definitely 2 of my favorite bands of all time!
I'll chime in here with another of my favorite bands, CAN with their 1973 album "Future Days"
Totally worth the listen!

I can't get the groove outta my head! Check out Sly's moves and those out-of-sight bright red corduroys!
This 'film' was king of a legend when I was a kid, ha. My older brother had a VHS copy and to be honest, it's a lot of unintentionally funny stuff! Have a few friends over and crack a few beers, you'll see.
After Sly punches out a window for no reason whatsoever and the 'pot orgy' commences, there is no turning back!
Playboy Magazine, September 1978: "What about that porn film you were supposed to have starred in?"
Stallone: "I was starving when I did it...desperate...you know, when you're hungry you do a lot of things you wouldn't ordinarily do!"
Hmmmm, as in Rambo and Rambo III, or?

My childhood, in capsule form.
https://www.youtube....zilla's revenge
Watch for: Godzilla's 'tough love'! That rat bastard Gabara savagely beating a toddler! Hashish-puffin' Minya/Minilla! A young boy in a chokehold being menaced with a switchblade! Godzilla kicking ASS and taking NAMES! Lunatic feats 'performed' by empty foam suits! The cranial electro-torture of that same young boy! A weirdo - possibly pedophile - 'toy maker' with a foppish lisp and oily comb-over! The unfortunate tattered remains of a once noble G-suit! .....And MORE!
That music!! Godzilla & company visit a Polynesian acid jazz club!
Edit: Dunno why it's showing up as a link and not a convenient 'display window', huh...

Been listening to this album a lot at work lately, I'm really loving their mash-ups of already great songs. This will be one of the more recognizable mash-ups given the songs included.

So there's this game, Crypt of the Necrodancer. In it, there's an NPC that "sings" MIDI style along with the track music when on screen. This guy does covers of that NPC. Silly but technically tough; my voice gave out on me pretty fast when I tried to keep up.
Also, if you show this to someone without that context the guy looks (even more) completely insane.

A half dozen Masterclass musicians on one stage. Haggard and portly Lukather on TOP of his game! Page stretching those well-tuned chords in his 50s! Old Ringo still feeling it and keeping time! Of course, the supremely talented Mark Rivera. Rundgren's 'angry young Ringo' shirt while he plays several feet away from him, lol.
:38 - 1:14 should conjure up images of flying dragons, centaurs, vast land expanses, etc., especially if you were a kid during the 70s/early 80s. I always associated this tune with medieval myth and high fantasy, I can't explain why....

One of my favorite albums from back in the early 90's. I didn't care much for this song back then (probably because the meaning was lost on me) but it's evolved into one of my favorites.

Man, "Flood" was a very pivotal album in my adolescent development. If I remember correctly I saw the video for "Birdhouse In Your Soul" on 120 minutes and I was like "Wait... what?"
I bought the cassette the next day.
Thank you
