Apparently, the Habro Collector's Event is basically Hasbro's own little Toy Fair. You can check out the coverage of the Transformers section here.

A few notables:

Unicron: The more I see of this toy, the more I like it. Check out the mini-con compartments in the legs!

Wheeljack: This is a great example of a toy that has an awesome sculpt and cool concept, but is COMPLETELY RUINED by horrible color combinations. I literally laughed out loud when I saw this, because I expected as much from Armada.

Overload: I kind of like this paint job. From this angle, the toy doesn't look very impressive, though... it looks very blocky and static.

Super-combo Optimus Prime (vehicle mode): Here's Optimus combined with other TFs, including Jetfire and Overload. It's pretty cool that you can combine TFs to make super-robots, but Optimus is looking a bit over-done.

Galvatron and Aircraft Carrier Guy: It looks like you can do something similar with this aircraft carrier guy and Galvatron (which is basically just a Megatron repaint). Nifty idea, but again... what is with the lime-green and purple color combo on the Aircraft Carrier guy? What was Hasbro thinking?!

G1 Rereleases: It looks like Hasbro is opting for changing the art on some of the packages to the recent comic style. Pretty cool... I love the Skywarp box!

My quick take on the new toys:

1. I love Unicron. I have always wanted the figure, but that pic makes him look even cooler.

2. I like Wheeljack, Glavatron and the aircraft carrier guy. They are all cool sculpts with paint colors that stink. Wheeljack's paint is too boring for me and the other two just have tacky colors. Lime green and purple don't do it for me.

3. I don't like the Overload sculpt. Does nothing for me.

4. The Super Combo Optimus Prime is pretty interesting. My only complaint is that he is a little "busy" looking. There a lot going on with this figure.

5. The G1 rereleases always get a thumbs up from me.

You're right, Hot Shot looks MUCH better with that red color combination.

Maybe Yellow Hot Shot is to Red Hot Shot, as Hot Rod is to Rodimus Prime?

Transformers dinobots Grimlock & Swoop wow did not know the dinobots was out. kind of cool but it could have been beter.

I didn't like the Wheeljack. It looked fine but it looked like a G1 reissue though I know it's not. I just doesn' have the Armada feel. I wonder if the $3.99 price on the Wal-Mart Dinobots was right?

I really wish they would stop making recolors of older series and Armada toys. What would I want two Hotshots or Cyclonuses for? And the beast wars stuff, what is it all about.
