Okay, I can't help but notice that most you guys are loose collectors, but I'm a carded collector. I naturally have figures loose for display, but the bulk of my collection is carded. I have my Gormiti pieces neatly tacked to the wall with my Vintage Return of the Jedi figures. Anyways, I just manage to snag 6 Playmates 4packs from the test market, and I thought I'd share pics. I'm a pretty happy camper.

Here are 17 pieces from the Upper Deck San Diego 2008 Test Market that Mr. Venom had up for sale. (Thanks Mr. Venom) I guess no one else here was interested, but I will post the pictures for posterity's sake. Unfortunately 3 got damaged during shipping, but "dem's da breaks kid". I think this represents the majority of the Flair/Upper Deck assortment, from what I have been able to garner there are 24 total packout variations, 17 are shown here. The sticker price here holds true to previous reports that the test market pieces were priced $7.99 at retail.

Here's the major bubble damage :) Although the other cards aren't flawless they are in nice enough condition with undented bubbles.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing the images.

I wish they'd kept the "bonus random figure" in the full US release. It would've given more incentive to buy each of the 4-packs.

Of course, then you'd get stuck with something like Multiplep or Nightmare of Fire and wish you'd have been able to see the fourth figure.

EDIT: Nice pics, by the way. That sucks about the blister damage... looks like someone took an axe to it.

Since Sherrie was nice enough to post some Upper Deck test market pieces for us to buy, I did just that. I sorted through my collection and found 2 Upper Deck packs that I didn't have listed here before, must have gotten them off feebay. Anyways here are shots of the two I had, plus the 4 I ordered from Sherrie. These 6 sets added to the 17 I had before makes 23 of the 24 packouts that exist. These packouts are the same as the UK series 1 4packs, since the only thing Upper Deck did in the test market was slap a sticker on some UK packs. I am making arrangements to get the 24th packout, I will have a photo of the 24th pack after it arrives. It is cool to verify against Strontium Dog's list that all 24 packs from the UK made it to the US for the test market.

Okay, I think I posted this elsewhere but for the sake of being complete, here is the image of the last of the Upper Deck Test Market pieces.
