Number robots?

Best Answer Kritch , 17 May 2020 - 03:47 AM

I can't tell exactly from the pictures but they are some form of Alphabot. I think the original ones were made by Mattel or Masudaya. I have two that are clearly marked Mattel Inc. 1985, Japan on the back, but there has also been copies of varying plastic quality over the years, right up to currently where they seem to be made by an Italian company called Cicaboom under the name Letrabots - https://letrabots.co...ombo-big-robot/ (although these numbers tranform differently from the ones you have (and combine into a big robot) so aren't the exact set you have)

This page shows a whole bunch from the 80s, although again these numbers tranform differently from the ones you have.

Hope that's a bit of help

Thanks so much for the information. Those look very close to the same. They may be bootlegs. I was searching number bots and nothing came up. Now I see that they are alphabots. That include numbers as well.
