A friend asked for me to help ID this

Best Answer redjarojam , 12 March 2015 - 08:25 PM

As soon as I saw the head I thought it had to be from The Corps! by Lanard. It took me a while but I confirmed it.

I'm a fine artist and meet many people who's work like mine is very centered around childhood items and playful ideas, my one friend Aaron makes dioramas and compostions out of toys and then paints them. He did this one piece that sticks out to me because its clearly a specific toy he usually uses generic cowboys and indian, soldier dinos ect. He found this in a bag of dinos at a thrift store but doesnt know what its from.

Yeah its just a head seperated from whatever body it was on if it had any markings I'd have likely found it by now. Idk about ogre the neck piece on it looks like it might have been a military or space character of some kind. I was thinking it might be from the small GI Joe's from the late 80's-90's but havent seen this one yet so idk.

Some kind of scale or size reference could help narrow down the field a bit. Too many possible action figure options out there without being able to narrow down the scale.

The fact that it's a swivel head does at least rule out things like Marvel Legends or more modern lines with ball-jointed heads.

Well I mean in the picture you can clearly see the head not including the part that would be inside the chest portion is roughly the size of an average adult fingertip. So I'd say about 1/2-1" max

I've checked out the usual bald villains.... Lex Luthor, Vulture, Mr Freeze, Egghead, Ernest Stavro Blofeld...

I think it is a relatively obscure or even generic line.

The key is going to be someone recognizing why part of the clothing is designed to turn with the head.

Good job!

So he is just one of 3 guys from team Orcas?  Lanard Toys, 2005.

Maybe the 2005 packaging is a re-release.

No individual name though?
