Is the Pillager Pig a rare Battle Beast?  I'm a few away from completing series 3 and I can't find a Pig anywhere (except on in a lot on eBay which I don't want to drop the money on, or have to deal with the doubles).  I never thought he'd be so hard to find.

eh, it goes in waves. Most series 3 figures are harder to come across from time to time. The pig does seem to be on the top of the list of the ones that show up less often, (Sloth seems to be as well) but I wouldn't say it's anything that significant.  If you're just eager to finish the set I understand the temptation, just don't pay some shyster a premium for one under the premise that they're "rare" and you won't be able to find another; you will. I sold the extra Pig I had about a year ago for $10.

I had a harder time finding on in mint condition, but that's always my struggle :p

Agree with bachamn on the wave effect since its hard to explain why some figures seem to be less available or harder to find during a certain period than others while in general there´s been an equal amount of Series 3 figs released back in the days. So it does happen that figures suddenly are hard or even impossible to find for a longer period but than again it wouldn´t be the first time that if one shows up after a while suddenly a few more show up, as if its spring and suddenly all the Rabbits come out after the winter sleep for a few months. There´s no logic explanation for this.

At the moment I´m having difficulties finding the Sloth for instance but these things not only go for the Series 3 exclusively because I´ve even experienced it with the Series 2 and even 1 figs during certain periods. Of course it also depends a little on whether your looking for just the figure or a complete one with weapon and in which condition...... All elements that might make a search more hard, and in some cases expensive, because if some figures haven´t been available for a while and suddenly show up there might be a whole group of collectors in need of that one resulting in a higher price if it is auctioned of. I wouldn´t be surprised to see a Pig reach $15 on Ebay at the moment or even more if it is complete with with weapon and in good condition because the weapon of the Pig is an issue as well but this goes for a large group of Series 3 figs.

Do have a few spare pig figures (no weapon) at the moment but those are not from recent purchases so its been a while since some have been available loose.

The pig is one that's hard to find not dirty for me at least. For some reason a few series 3 always seem to have black marks. I find it with the panda often too.

yep, Pig weapon was the last piece I got to finish my 1-76 set

For some reason a few series 3 always seem to have black marks. I find it with the panda often too.

most of the time black marks on figs like this is just compressed dirt/gunk that can be cleaned off. sharpee/marker is usually a lot easier to differentiante and can be a problem, but I've only ever seen a few beasts with Sharpee on them. wasn't as popular with kids as marking the feet of your MUSCLEs apparently.

I need 3, and the pig is one of them.

what're the other two?

Geez, I went and got a pig custom painted - should I have not gone & done that LOL

you're good man, we're talking about like a time-dependent $5-$6 differential at the most haha
