Happy Hump Day!!!

I stumbled across this while searching for ideas and really love it.  Lots of interesting concepts in here.  So far I've built 3 sets of 5.  Thinking about pulling off a 4th.  Really happy with what I've come up with so far.

Happy Monday!

Well, recently I've opened an Instagram account under the surprising pseudonym of Exactobeast.  I've been throwing up a lot of nice pics there.  Trying to finally take better shots of my guys instead of spending a few hours on one and then taking a 2 second photo.  Results= Prettier shots for you!

Just a fun little resource cataloging battle beasts old and new and their Russian counterparts. You can always use google chrome to translate.

I love the color work on the dinosaurs, especially on the skin parts.  Way to step it up a notch.  I think your Gormiti monsters stand on their own too, not just as cool remakes

My take on Recoom Kaboom's character.  Could have gone with the alligator body and been closer to matching, but I didn't have one at the moment and was worried I'd never be able to reach Kaboom before I gave this a shot.

Whoever Recoom Kaboom is, it appears that they took a Tyrannoclaw and put an armour suit on him!

Looks great all the same, just saying I wouldn't worry too much about ripping someone off. ;)

Great work as always, dude!

Man, that tenrec is awesome! Are those pieces of toothpicks? It's also nice to see amphibians getting some attention. The fire salamander is cool but I have to point out that the pic is a tiger. Both fire and tiger are in the mole salamander family. Tigers being the largest. I have kept some that were nearly 12 inches. Fires do look close in appearance though.
Also funny that the axolotl is included in the mole family even though they are not proven to become terrestrial adults in nature.

Solid knowledge drop Trench! Thanks! I wasn't too familiar with the variances, but can see the mistake now.  I blame the internet for lying to me.

For the Tenrec, that is actually just cut up shards from the same rubber material that battle beasts are made of.  I think I was cutting up a miscellaneous aardvark leg I had lying around for this.

Wow you really do only use bb parts. That's awesome. Do you use any sculpting clay ever? I've been messing with it again just trying to not get discouraged. It's sad that I've messed with customizing various figure lines for over a decade and have only ever finished 1 or 2 at best. I blame myself for being indecisive and inexperienced. That is going to change with this figure line. I have mostly finished an anteater custom. It came out good enough for a first try. I want to share it but I hate to use the prehistoric laptop in order to post a pic. I'd rather use my phone but I don't see where to add a photo.
I didn't mean to sound like a know it all about the salamander.

Ha! I was worried I just might be sounding like an ass. Truly, I did not know that and thank you for the knowledge drop. I would generally scour google images till I stumbled across something that looked interesting and I thought that I could make. I would usually go with that image description, though the internet is full of lies!

Never tried the clay. Never thought I'd be any good at it. Never painted or cut up a toy until a few years ago with group 1. I have no idea why. It doesn't seem obvious to decide that cutting, pasting, and painting should begin with a toy line that lasted only 2 years and are nearly 30 years old. Then again, I always loved them.

When you post a reply or a new topic, to the right of the post button is the "more reply options." You can add attachments in there. On the phone. You sometimes end up on the mobile version of the site. Scroll to the bottom of the main page and select the "full version" option.

Looking forward to checking out your customs!

Thanks for the tip. I did end up going to the full version from my phone. And yes, the intranet is full of lies. Imagine being a herp enthusiast trying to identify that you are actually getting the species you're paying for. Turtles are the easiest for me. I've been keeping many species foreign and domestic since the mid 80's.
