First off, this site is a great resource. Small-scale toys (robots, monsters, bugs, military, wrestlers, everything!) are my thing and they have been my thing for years.

I've a big wooden box full of a few hundred toys in the general LRG class. I know what most of my collection is, but here are six that elude me.

1. HORTA. More than any of them, I want to know who HORTA is. Evidently he's a character toy since he has a name and a fairly distinct design, as opposed to some random thing. The rear reads "DIENER IND", and I know Diener as the company who made many great eraser-rubber monster toys that I recall from my early childhood. This is also made of an eraser-rubber.

2. Badly molded robot pencil topper. No markings. This one will probably be difficult to give a specific ID to, but it's worth a shot.

3. Red Super Robot hard-plastic charm. This guy has the classic "25-cent machine in a backwoods laundromat" look, and that's where I got him. But I'm sure he's also from some Japanese Super Robot show. I'm more of a "Real Robot" show guy, so maybe you can ID him for me. Marked HONG KONG.

4. Kaiju #1 "Flowerzilla." Basic Godzilla-like shape but with a flower on his chest and tentacle arms. Markings hard to read: © P(?) ?

5. Kaiju #2 "Koala-corn." I've always wanted to know about this one too. He/she has a little pouch on his chest for a baby koala. Both feet are marked in Japanese.

6. 90's Blue Man the Rad Ninja. Articulated at the arms and legs. Marked CHINA and the number 9 on the rear.

Welcome! Always great to have another mini-fig collector around.

Your Diener friend is a Space Raider. Though this Toypedia entry is devoted to the Space Creatures, you can see some of the Space Raiders in the entry.

Thanks. This page has a little more info, including the names of the rest of the Space Raiders: http://reflectionson...alds-space.html

I'm guessing Horta is more or less a spaceman in that wild Dienerverse of rockets and space monsters.

#4 is definitely from Ultraman. It's Astromons, from Ultraman Taro.

I can't see #5 at all. The colors and shadows in that image make it look impossible to identify for what is otherwise a very clear image. I'll need a better picture to ID him.

The Ninja is a 'Military Muscle Man'. They came in packs of 3 from what I remember and there was about 2-3 paint styles for each character. It was pretty much an attempt to capitalize on the success of the M.U.S.C.L.E. line back in the day, but they were not quite as cool :)

Millitary Muscle Men were an attempt to cash in on Z-Bots. They were put right next to them, ahd very similar articulation, and were the same scale. I had a few with my Z-Bots, actually.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

Yeah...I had never thought of that actually :) I almost have complete sets of Military Muscle Men and Z-Bots but I never really grouped them together.

Nice av aimforthetop - is that from Metal Warriors? It's funny; right before coming online today I had the sudden urge to play that game again :wallbash:
It's not a very common game either, although it is very awesome! You pilot mechs through very large levels that have persistent damage (inflicted by both you & the myriad enemy). Plus, you can eject from your mech and take up residence in vacant mechs you find hidden in the levels - there are at least 5 very different types, including some that can fly. Very, very cool.

I'm afraid I have nothing of value to add to this thread, though :D

Hopefully this pic will shed some light.
