They look like the, (I think), ultimate muscle figures. I've seen a couple before that looked similar.

Are these the capsule figures?

If so japanese, and not easy to find anymore

Yes, capsule figures. GI Joe size.

Series 1. The ball joints were very weak and fell apart a lot.

Series 2 had better joints.

Yep totally authentic. They're little gacha guys, about 3" tall. I bought a bunch for a couple bucks each.
