Ok, so I won the recent BB coloring book that was up on ebay and I've got to say it's pretty amazing (barring some of the actual coloring jobs from the original, I'm guessing very young, owners).

First of all it's HUGE, about the length/width dimensions of your average pillow. What caught my eye the most however, is that in the vague semblance of a story throughout the book, some of the beasts encounter some new creatures I haven't seen referenced anywhere else in BB lore, a dragon, a demon, and a monster that are all very large in relation to the beasts.

I'll try to get some clear photos of each page in the next couple days but so happy right now. Just when you think the whole BB universe has been discovered, something new like this pops up. I know of at least one other member here who has a coloring book, but I've never seen a reference to these other creatures before!

I have four of these books and they are huge and probably some of my favorite BB items. If you want scans I could possibly get pictures of the ones you don't have.

Yeah, I think I got pics from dabbuu before. They are huge books. It be cool to get scans of them and then shrink them to normal size for kids to color.

I'll try to get some good photos. Scans will be near impossible I'd imagine for something this large, at least I've never seen a home scanner that large

If you scan them piecemeal they should be able to be stitched together. I'd be happy to help with that if anyone does some scanning. Also, if there's existing coloring it can probably be removed for clean colorable pages.

I have one that my son actually coloured in. After all it is a colouring book. I had photographed all the pages once before and there are 25 photographs. I'll include the cover and title page here. I don't mind uploading all 25 if there is an easy way to do that.

hey kmscouts,

you can create a flickr account and share it.

the easiest way is to probably just .zip all of it and upload it to drop.io and give us the link....its the same thing as megaupload and rapidshare but no annoying wait times.

looking forward to the coloring books if you do decide to share em.

I will try to get them on tomorrow. Tonight I had some Ebay auctions finish - all Scout items, no toys and need to get them ready to go. Tomorrow I should have time. If I don't get them done tomorrow then it will be two weeks as I'm away for work until March 27th.

Wow this thread is old...

I found two of these coloring books recently and was wondering how much these are actually worth? What are their rarity? I can't seem to find any information on them. They're not on the www.littlerubberguides.com novelty section either.

Any info would be appreciated.

Sweet! I have yet to see the condition inside of the books but the covers look...ok ish.

Have you found any information about these books anywhere? I searched for Checkerboard press new york battle beasts but the only thing I found was an old listing. Probably the one you won.

Thanks Jay. Like we talked about, I probably won't keep these. I was just looking for an approximate value price.
I will scan these and share with everyone.
