I've been folding my own geometric designs for many years but just recently discovered cheap battery-powered LED strings. These lamps are made with 20-bulb strings encased in translucent white plastic.

I mean, at this point there's no reason to try it, wait for Destiny 2 instead. Great gameplay, not-so-great game, if that makes sense. I've put in a ton of hours but if that kind of game interests you at all, much better to wait and see what the sequel delivers.
Anyway, you might be able to make a killing if you actually made more and marketed them that way. Especially if you can get all four colors represented. The stress engrams were the only official kind released and Bungie discontinued them way too fast.

This one is thicker plastic which diffuses the light better.

These really look terrific! Just curious--where do you get the battery-powered LED strings? I've seen UV/"blacklight" LED strings before (not battery) that fire up GID toys in the dark...so I'm wondering if you can get the same effect with one of these polyhedrons.

Yeah, I just looked at RTGS' website, and they definitely have a limited selection of colors (and no UV). Kind of a bummer. Years ago, I had looked into wiring up my own dimmable LED strings...and I forget what website it was that I was looking at, but they had a crazy selection of colors, including UV, blinking, color-changing and all that!

I'd never seen pink LEDs, so I had to try using some in another lamp.
