Gundam and Sentai Style Keshis

Best Answer BaltanII , 03 May 2015 - 10:22 AM

Figures 1-11 and probably 12 are all SD Gundam figures. It's hell pinpointing which sculpts are what mobile suits due to the nature of sculpt changes in things like the Musha Gundam series and would require more knowledge in Gundam than I have to figure them all out.

Figures 13-16 are all from Toei's Metal Heroes franchise, covering multiple live-action tokusatsu series.

Figures 13 are all from Winspector.

Figures 14 are from Solbrain and Winspector.

Figures 15 are all from Winspector.

Figures 16 are from Janperson and Blue SWAT.

Here is a small chunk of this big lot that I bought recently. Figured it would be best to keep the posts in the same theme. So I took pics of all of the gundam/mech looking guys. There was also these other sentai type toys (I don't know the proper term) that appear to be from the same series. Any help in IDing them would be greatly appreciated. I can add additional pics upon request if it will help with IDing them. See below for info on size and markings:

1. SIZE: 2.5cm / MARKINGS: R-173 on the back of the head. Japanese characters on the bottom.

2. SIZE: 3cm / MARKINGS: Japanese characters on the bottom.
3. SIZE: 2cm / MARKINGS: Japanese characters on the bottom.

thanks for the info guys! I too think that the first bunch are SD Gundam figures, but I am skeptical on 5, 10 11 and 12. Important to note that I didn't buy them as a set like this. This is just the first round of pice from the massive keshi lot I acquired.

Figure 11, and possibly 12 if my hunch on that one being a steed to a Gundam is correct, is based on the SD Knight Gundam universe. In that universe, all of the heroic Mobile Suits are imagined as superdeformed knights in armor, while the Zeon designs are often mixed up with various fantasy monsters. That figure is absolutely an SD Gundam figure, presumably some goblin or orc variant of a Zaku.

Figure 5 is most likely from the SD Musha Gundam franchise, though I haven't done the search to pinpoint the design.

Figure 10, yeah, not 100% sure.

Oh well I'll be damned. Thanks for the info! It's a shame that most of these are missing their cool little accessories.
