When word got out that there would be yet another release by Moose Toys for the AWESOME Trash Pack line, I was more than excited!  After the recent Series 4 release here in the United States, our favorite gross garbage from Series 1 shows up once again in the newest "Mystery Series" - GROSS GHOSTS!!!

9416431785_95d652f8ce_z.jpg

This new series is ONLY available at Target stores for a LIMITED time!  So, if you like what you see here, or just need to own everything Trash Pack, then I suggest you head out to your local Target store to pick these up! You will not be disappointed!!!

9418173222_659eb8bc27_z.jpg

This new Mystery Series is similar to the other sub-series released by Moose Toys - Ultimate Fighting Trash (UFT) and Trash Wheels.  They will not appeal to everyone, but just look at these!!!

9418173140_b83a15c818_z.jpg

Gross Ghosts consists of 62 pieces that, as mentioned, were originally found in Series 1.  These little guys are clear, translucent and remind me of Jolly Ranchers up close!

9415407029_06369b060c_z.jpg

The Special Edition pieces are a little different... they have "Spooky Eyes"! Taking a look at these, you can see that they are each sporting a menacing stare.

9418172950_fcc8dd4a78_z.jpg

Also, the Ultra Rares in this series are all of the Bin-fections, BUT with a twist!  They GLOW-In-THE-DARK!!!  That's right!  How fantastic is that?!

9415406867_3e61714c8d_z.jpg

This must-have series in available for purchase in both 5 and 12 packs.  The Garbage Truck and the Wheelie Bin have made their appearance once again too.  These are themed accordingly, wouldn't you agree?

9415406771_a5cdebf02b_z.jpg

9416432067_b113393a5d_z.jpg

What are you waiting for?!  Add some Ghosts to your ever-growing gross garbage collection!!!  They will haunt you if you don't! :-)

Hm, Target you say. There's a small chance that these might show up at Tesco in the UK then.

I'm so exited for these! There's just something inherently appealing about translucent rubber figures. And that Moo Cow Disease is absolute PERFECTION!

I think we'll definitely be loading up on Gross Ghosts when we see them until we have a couple full sets. Cool to see the wheelie bin container for storage too.

I wish Scum Gum was one of the S1 sculpts they picked for this, but it's still a sweet looking series. We never got any of the S1 glow figures before because we got into trashies when they were already on S2.

Haven't seen them here yet. BUT, I LOVE TRANSLUCENT TOYS!!! Plus a special storage can and Garbage Truck. And I still need a few series 1, so this is GREAT all the way around.

Some are curious about the trashies exclusive to this release, specifically which trashies come in the Garbage Ghost Truck and Ghost Wheelie Bin.  I figured others may be interested in these as well, and so I decided to post again here.

Included with the Garbage Truck, the trashies are: Sludge Can & Dead Tyre.

Inside the Wheelie bin, you get: Scummy Skull & Spew-Shi.

9424495600_35dd05cefc_z.jpg

As you can see, these 4 pieces are like the rest of the Gross Ghosts in this Mystery Series - clear, translucent and must-haves for any Trash Pack collector!

Although not official, my assumption is that Moose Toys released the Trash Pack Putrid Pizza Challenge ONLY in the UK and this Mystery Series will ONLY be released here in the U.S. Maybe someone else or time can confirm this, but I believe this is what we can expect.  Sad, but may be true... :-(

I was hoping the skull would make the cut again. It's perfect for this theme and looks great in see through rubber.

All I ask is help with getting a Lego Pumpkin Storage case that seems to be sold only in UK and the online stores won't ship to me  :cray:

I have to say, these are damn cool. I've only casually been interested in Trash Pack before these, picking up a pack here and there. But somehow the clear colors makes them about 20 times more appealing to me. I've already got a 12 pack and two 5 packs and have a few doubles so far if anyone wants to get a trade going.

Also, I want that skull like crazy. I really don't want to have to buy the bin thing, but man, I want that skull.

I think you're onto something. None of those were included in the packs I got, and I don't recall seeing any of them in the store.

To confirm your suspicions, the answer is simply yes.  I have also come to this conclusion after purchasing my first round of this Mystery Series.  It seems that there will be another wave closer to Halloween containing the common green pieces in place of the yellow common pieces (just a guess, but it will require one to purchase packs from both waves in order to complete a set).  With such a small series, it is quite odd to release Gross Ghosts in waves though.  So, expect to hunt for the remaining 12 pieces in the near future!

I wonder if the distribution of pieces will be the same, as there is a exceedingly regular pattern to the pieces found within the 5 and 12 packs.  Anyone who has purchased enough packs will soon find this out for themselves quite easily.

Oh good. I was concerned that I was coming close to getting most of them. I also thought the timing on these was weird. But, a second wave by Halloween is fantastic. My local target sold out in a matter of days. So these are extremely popular.

My local Target also sold out of this excellent series rather quickly!  They are extremely popular and are only going to be around for a very limited time.  Good thing we should expect another shipment of new packs containing the remaining pieces soon!  :-)

This is intended to be a Fall release, so we are lucky to have gotten them this early.  Yet with two waves, this makes a lot of sense.

Has anyone else used a flashlight to peek inside the cans without opening the package?  Believe it or not, it works!  Just a hint for my fellow TP collectors!!! ;-)  I like to be surprised though and refrained from doing this...

I stopped by Target to write down the date codes on the Gross Ghost 5/12 packs.  Hopefully we will be able to identify the wave 2 packs later.
