Hi there

Today I came across this mint in box set of 30 Dinomites from the 80s.  Box has some very minor shelf wear but otherwise good and fully factory sealed both ends.  Wondered if anyone had an idea of value please?

Let me know if you need any other photos/info from box :)

Thank you so much for any help.

All the best,

Gaspode

Very nice box. I can't gauge the value but when other people help you come up with that number let me know if you are up for trading or selling. Not now though since i wouldn't know what to offer anyway.

Looks weird, can you take a pic of them out of the box? The box says DINOMITES, but they look like the bootleg DINOBRITES. DinomMites are darker colors with white glow paint on them, and DinoBrites are neon colored. [Dinobrites might be an official release as well, but they are released by a different company]

as for price though, Id say its worth $30. Ive bought a few (with the right dinos in them) for $25-$35 over the years (depending on condition). Years back one was on ebay for $75, but I'm not sure what it eventually sold for. That was the first box to pop up, since then more have so the price had dropped.

I have a single dinomite. I need more!

These really don't look like mites though. Dinomite experts care to weigh in?

Maybe there was another name for them in the EU as it looks these are from France and I can remember having these myself as well in mono color although I can´t recall if they were named mites or brites overhere but I supose it has something to do with the fact they´re European against the US name you´ve in mind. Personally I can´t remember having seen the ones with the White on them so those might´ve never been available in the EU. That´s just my thoughts and experience for what its worth.

Oh and I remember the ones I got were not from a box but they came out of an egg with some kind off blubberish substrate in it which you needed to search through in order to find the dino figure in side.

Very weird, Dinomites were released by Panosh originally here in the states. Dinobrites were released by Happiness Express inc. Being that this is a European release by a different company it looks to be a mix of both. Dinomites box with Dinobrites inside. Interesting.

here is my Dinobrites box.

I sold this box of Dino Brites a few years ago for around $65, although it only had 29 of the 30 figures.

I wasn't looking to sell, but someone made me a good offer, and the rotten grammar sealed the deal.

If I was valuing a box now I'd say $1 each for the figures, plus $10 for a box in good condition = $40
