I didn't realize until watching this that it was an all new head sculpt.
Thanks to The Godbeast for posting this.
It's not a new head sculpt. The slip on head is two pieces. The lower jaw is one piece, and the rest of the head is the other piece. They simply glued the lower jaw into a different position for the C2E2 figure. I have both the Toy Fair and the C2E2 gator, and the mouth being open does work a bit better and makes his head look less awkward.

I got one of the new ones off ebay for $25 inclu shipping (I do not have the first premium one)
I am less than impressed on the quality
It does look nice, this is probably the best color combination so far
However, it came with a bonus: a hair from the paintbrush!
The gun is terrible and cannot even be held straight in his hand
Here is a size comparison (sorry it is a bootleg, that is the only other one I have bought recently, the rest are in storage atm)
Some more size stuff with some Gormiti.
Also, the package has the new Battle Beast logo on it: THE ROAR RAGES ON
