The shape is unmistakable - the MACH 5 from Speedracer.

But why is it painted like the Racer X vehicle?

Anyone know what it's called/what set it's from/when it was sold?

Unbranded and undated, but stamped Made in China.

Measures about 5.25 inches long x 1.75 inches wide

Just very odd... is this toy company such a mess that they are painting the Mach 5 as the Racer X car?
