Yeah I also thought that was odd, but not understanding Japanese I'm not clear on the cause of her sudden fear in battle. Maybe related to something in the Golda/Liorga fight? Either way, she didn't look so weak after her summoned gang of shadow demons started eating faces!

Also, just noticed that takaratomychannel on YouTube uploaded this new promo last week, including an...interesting interview with the animation director. Seems odd timing to have this 'announcement' as the show has already been airing in Japan for three months now, but it's in English so I guess this is their way of officially reaching out to the Western audience.

Yeah she wsn't weak when she got passed her fear and started actually fighting, which makes the sudden fear all the more jarring. Those face eating shadows were pretty darn cool!

I think I saw that interview before, but without subtitles.

It should probably be pointed out that the lion character's name is translated to "Liogre" in that interview video. I've seen variations in Raioga, Liorga, and the like and I think this video helps to clear up misconceptions.

I still think 'Lioga' sounds better. It certainly matches the way the characters pronounce it. 'Liogre' should be pronounced 'Lioger'

The Flying fish reminds me of the unknown character whose quote is on the Back of Falcan's card, perhaps it's the same person?

Ohhhh man. Finally, a lizard Beast Saga figure. I have been waiting so patiently. The lizards are my favorite of the original line. Next, I would like to see a Chameleon and a Snake.

Holy crap, I really need to see some new figures from Takara! The ones we've seen in the show have got to be on my shelf soon; and the water tribe just keeps on getting better!
I'm also loving that there's an iguana now, this line needs more reptiles.

Edit: Confirmed! I just downloaded episode 4 in HD and it looks pretty fantastic. (It should be classified as child abuse to subject children to standard definition.)

Didn't watch much, just the opening song. So if it doesn't work after that, well, my bad!

Haven't really followed the TV series but there are indeed quite some interesting figures in there as I've never seen the Otter before and the Iguana is pretty cool as well!

19 is out! Shit is really hitting the fan and... DAMN YOU BILLSWORD! You had to go and gain a sympathetic characteristic by caring about your fellow pirates! But seriously this is getting bad, those pirates are tottally out to rule over the world considering what they've gotten away with so far. One complete Godlot isn't enough for them it seems.

 

Next episode, Oruga gets into a Beast Fight with that traitorous cheetah!!

Nice. Too bad Japanese DVDs are ridiculously expensive for what they contain, and it won't be subbed. Some close captioning at least could be useful.

The 'sweat drop' is a visual cue in anime/manga used to convey an awkward or uncomfortable emotion in a character such as embarrassment, surprise, confusion, etc. I'm assuming you must be relatively new to anime as this is something that is very commonly used.
