Stillers FTW! Take that Titans. Thats what you get for stomping on Myron Cope and his legacy and all the money that he raised for charity.

I dont care who we lose to this year, we beat those Titans. They were THE team that the Steelers got flak for not beating last year. But we got the ring and after a long holiday period, we beat those Titans.

Guess they wont be going 13-0 this season.

Bring on dem Bears.

Seriously though, Troy Polamalu. Is there anything that this dude cant do? Did any of you see that interception?! AMAZING!

he can't stop my brother-in-law from being annoying. his fave team is the steelers and his name is "paul" so you can imagine how annoying he can get.

I just want the SD Chargers to win. I'm tired of hearing we will go all the way next year.
They should just leave SD.......

a guy i used to work with had a cousin who worked in the chargers front office. any time he went to cali and there was a game on, he got ridiculous access. what a punk.

DISCLAIMER: personally, i don't like the chargers, nor hate, he's just a punk because he got something like that for a team he enjoys. if i were to ever have a cousin who worked for the bears like that and i got the royal treatment i'd call myself a punk.

Just watched the Patriots game. At around 2:12 left in the game, the refs gave the Pats a first down when Wes Welker was clearly (according to the TV yellow line) tackled a yard and a half shy of the first down marker. Pretty disgusting really.

I know people don't want to admit it, and I tend to keep away from such talk myself, but certain teams (you know which ones) and certain players (again, you know which ones) tend to get "lucky" a lot in this league.

Now I have to go an entire week without watching ESPN because I can't bare to listen to the sports commentating world verbally suck Tom Brady's dick all week.

(Obviously, the Pats did more than get a freebie first down, I'll grant them that, but it's still bullshizznit.)

well, you have to remember that the "yellow line" isn't all that accurate. so, unless they pulled the chains out, it must have been clearly a first down from down on the field.

however, i totally agree with you on certain teams/players getting freebies. i don't think it's more rampant than in the nba though. the star players tend to get away with murder.

I think thats one of the things I hate so much about Brady and the Pats. I cant stand having to listen to the networks drool and pant and fawn over Tom Brady. Its like Madden with Favre but like, its the entire NFL reporting staff.

Talk about two games that come down to the wire!

I thought for sure that the Raiders were gonna win it. I was pulling for them.

The Chargers won yesterday. They just got by. Sometimes I think they" get off" on trying to score on the last 5 seconds. Would any 1 want the CHARGERS for their team?
Gotta go tend to my BB collection........

Anyone else love the home baseball but hate the home football?

I heart the Gigantes, but I can't stand the 49ers (more of a Cardinals fan). The Cardinals loss this week was too much...

Some GREAT games today. Jets making good on their smack talking was pretty fun.

The Steelers losing to the Bears was not, haha. Close game though. I LOVE games like that, even if we lose. Especially if we lose. I'd rather lose in a tight game that comes down to the wire than to be blown out of the water.

And how about that Cowboys/Giants game?! I can't BELIEVE that they didnt give that dude a TD for his INT off of Witten's foot. Rediculous. But at least they ruined the Cowboys home opener in their new testament to Jerry Jones and his comparatively huge ego and bank account.

I can see why you are happy. It's easy to be jealous of those three teams when they have a combined 14 Super Bowl wins and the Eagles have.... how many do the Eagles have again? :)

do you ever get the impression that the lions may be losing on purpose so they can move?

oh, and the longest losing streak is the tampa bay buccaneers in 1976 they went 0-14, and then lost their first 12 games in the 1977 season. 26 games is the longest streak.

That was their first and second year in the NFL if I'm not mistaken?
