here's my Pirate Lion... kind of a Cyborg-Anime take on him.

Very cool!
It looks like a blend of a Thundercat with one of the sci-fi He Man characters.

Loving the pirate lion picture its kind of like Cloud from FF7 mixed with Skeletors Cat.

Everyone is really pulling out the stops for this one. ;) All the entries are cool. As it stands though I really like GL's so unless someone can change my mind he's who I'm voting for. :D

Beastformers reanimated via quaint Victorian-era technology. Just a quickie here, eventually i'll probably redo this and jazz it up a bit. But i feel it's still fairly sharp, and it's probably as far as it'll get before the contest is over. :lol:

All the entries have been great, but Eric's piece just blew me away! The detail, proportions (except for the left foot :lol: ), and mechanical features/concept are incredible.

And then I saw Scummy's piece! :p GL is exactly right that it has a LoEG feel to it. The concept (and the absurdity of it) fascinate me to no end! Awesome job, guys!

GL and Soupie are dead-on with the inspiration, i was sitting here staring at the Squirrel Battle Beast, wondering what BBs would look like if they popped up in an issue of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, or Tom Strong. I'd eventually like to go back and redo the concept completely in the style of one of those comics.

I'll be honest man, what really does it for me is the curly wired sensors. :lol: The whole character of the piece to me is the jar with the squirrel.

i just measured it and its the same heights and proportion. his lower legs are thin but wide toward the back so looking straight on it looks thinner than on the side, which is wider.~!!! i purposly made the left foot smaller since its just a metal wedge coming out (not an actual foot), i just gave it fake pointy toenails too... and since i took a picture of it and not scanned it, it looks off. i win~!

ok here is my second entry which is actually the first one i started, but put it on hold to draw my first entry which i thought was a better idea... at first i was actually going to have him have a glass head with a brain inside it, with wires and all that, but i didnt want to cross over too much into scums drawing with the squirrel so i erased the glass and gave him a head instead...
