Has anyone seen the news that Toys R' Us pulled their Breaking Bad action figures from the aisles due to a change.org petition started by a Florida mom. I have the figure as well as Jesse, but could this start a trend? A lot has been written somewhat negative about adult collectors since the article came out. Anyone upset by this?

I've had a few arguments over this already. Toys about drugs and violence don't make drug addicts or violent kids. And while I might not want them for my kids, it is none of my business whether other people buy them for themselves or their kids.

Reminds me kind of the Finlands new alcohol laws that have gone insane, you cant complement on a alcohol companys facebook, cant have any kind of advertising and also many of the known land marks that have stood on the grounds of brewerys for decades(mostly giant beer cans, still beats the Sibelius monumemt though) must be painted white or removed.

Also a liqour that has Ron Jeremys face on it must be redesigned cause: "It might make the kids think alcohol and sex ALLWAYS go hand in hand". God damnit its not like our coverment hast got any real issues like the huge lot of money we own to EU or the ever growing un-employment crisis.

Would have moved to sweden allready but the languege is just... well it doesnt make any sense.

Huh, feels good to blow out some steam.

This entire scenario reminds me of the video game hatred of the 90s. Especially involving the game Doom. Because parents were somehow convinced that Doom would make you go outside and mistake innocent people for giant floating pixalated eye balls that spew fire balls. That eye ball is a pain to kill though. I know there is another petition going around to have to toys added to the shelves again. I signed that bad boy about two days ago. I think people are crazy to judge something they don't understand. If you are going to pull the toys, then pull all the advertisements and get the show off the air. Those can lead kids to doing meth based off of the same mentality!

A few people mentioned how they left other toys that are arguably worse depending on your perspective. It is obviously up to the store to decide if the revenue is worth the negative publicity. I just thought that it sucked so many people were quick to say it's a kids' store only, get rid of the adult collector section so they don't see those items. If that's the case, I'd like to start a chain of toy stores that welcomes collectors and maybe, doesn't charge as much as TRU :)

I understand the argument from parents... Doesn't mean I agree with it through. I mean, does this mean that Toys R Us should never sell something that is potentially are rated? Or at least PG-13?

That being the case, maybe they shouldn't be selling GTA, or any game with a mature rating because it's technically not for kids.

Again, I don't condone the attitude... But I hate it even more when it such blatant hypocrisy ... How they can sell one item and not the other.

Lame.

So are they keeping the nerf section? Those are toys that actively teach kids to shoot other kids.

My son is 9. He has grown up watching Texas chainsaw massacre, playing various gta games, God of wars, etc..... He brings home excellent grades, is in an eight grade reading level, is very polite, and is well spoken. I have never grounded him, taken his things away or punished him at all. I don't have to. He listens to me. I explain shit, talk to, and guide my son.

I talk to him like a human, not like a child. I tell him the TRUTH! He understands the difference between fantasy and reality because I TEACH my son about life. He has been playing with hellraiser figures, mcfarlane figures, etc since he was 3.

These things that parents THINK affect their children, do not in reality harm them. It is the parents and surrounding people that influence kids.....hmmmmm...parents too busy- too many kids- too much stress- never listening to them- not being honest- kids feeling confused because they don't really understand things, etc- hmmmmm, I wonder why kids do dumb shit... Hahahaha

Yeah, that penis-tentacled-trilobite monster from Prometheus didn't get pulled, they just put an "TRU Exclusive" sticker over the most penisy looking tentacle and called it a day.

Alas Florida Woman, thou art not consistent with thy outrage...

Or maybe she's just against drug use, but is cool with space dicks?

P.S. DO NOT Google "space dicks"

Oh you guys had me cracking up. Its a shame that TRU caved in on this at all. Now they have to listen to the reverse petition because it has more signatures :p

so that is where that Japanese tentacle porn got it's inspiration.  hahahaha

Actually, this year marks the 200th anniversary of tentacle porn (happy anniversay, repressed debauchery!)

I think Rideryu captured the true nature of this toy in his review, particularly with this photo.

Incidentally, this image also serves as an excellent metaphor for this situation.

Can you guess which one is Florida Woman, and which one is TRU?

lmao that toy is hilarious! I am surprised it didn't come with a random female anime fig as an accessory
