Up for grabs are original Keshi Pro-Wrestling Keshi made by Japanese
toy maker Popy (now Bandai). This is the series of Wrestling minifigures
that started it all.

The first 10 figures were released as the "Super Pro-Wrestle Strongest
Army" line in 1982 (one year before Popy folded back into parent
company Bandai in 1983); each figure standing about 1 inch in height.

As the name implies, this line of Keshi was a spin-off of Popy's full sized
action figures that were released in 1981. Many of the Wrestlers featured
in the following waves would receive their very first figures as Keshi.

The following figures I have for sale are:

How can you spot an official series 1 Keshi made by Popy?

Only the first 10 figures feature this special stamp.

Ikki Kajiwara (the creator the Tiger Mask anime) licensed the Tiger Mask

character to Popy starting in 1981. As a result, Ikki's namesake is featured

on the backs of every Keshi from series 1 along with Popy.

As Popy reverted back into parent company Bandai, the line was renamed
"The Pro-Wrestler" in 1983 (with additional waves being released until the

late 1980's).

The Pro-Wrestle (Name engraved series)

Each of these Keshi feature the specific Wrestler's name written on

their backs in Japanese Katakana, Kanji and English.
