No longer will be 2% back on every purchase, rather it will be 1%.

 

The one nice thing will be no longer having to deal with a $5 minimum!!

(but originally the Ebay Bucks program started out w/out a minimum to begin with... so they are essentially changing back what they shouldn't have changed in the first place)

 

One last thing, you can supposedly earn Ebay Bucks for stuff you sell now - not quite sure how it works, but will keep you posted.

 

And a few months ago they changed things so that Ebay Bucks would no longer apply to gift cards (meh).

 

Just an update!!  Check your Ebay mail boxes for more info!!

I saw that email, sucks about it going to 1%. It's not like the earnings added up that much at 2%, unless you made tons of purchases, really expensive purchases, or used the increased percent promos they sometimes send. Hopefully whatever earnings they add for selling will help balance it out.

They had the selling a promo a few months ago. I sold some stuff, it showed up in my ebay bucks account the next month I believe. You can double up your money back by also using ebates with ebay purchaes. lemme me know if you need a referal code, i think we both get a bonus if one is used.

Without too much effort, I would hit the $5 mark pretty regularly, however - that was when they were counting gift card purchases.

(whenever I was close to that $5, but still short - I would buy a gift card and bam - hit that $5 easily)

 

It probably won't add up to enough on the Buyers side, but I'm very intrigued with the Seller bonuses now too.  So hopefully between the two - it may make a real difference.

I thought a few years ago, that Ebay did away with using 3rd party discount sites (like Ebates & Bigcrumbs)!!  If they are back into that - then hell yeah I'll use them!  The one I used to use was bigcrumbs.  At the time, their kick backs were a little healthier than Ebates, PLUS you got kick backs off your friends purchases.  I stopped using them once they said that Ebay wouldn't be available on their site, and I think they went out of business shortly there after.

 

Post your ref feral code - maybe other folks can sign up and use it too!

 

I'm definitely intrigued by the Sellers getting Ebay Bucks thing... so I'll be interested to start implementing it after the new year.
