I would jump on this if it wasn't for the high BIN price. Cut the price in half and it would probably be gone already. :D

This is why I always post things with a best offer option! Those do look pretty though.

I've not heard of the whole AFA grading thing. Is that pretty important? To increase the price so much?

Think of comics getting graded (assuming you know about that)....same thing basically.  You can send your toys to a company that "grades them", then puts them in a custom fitted case which is sealed.   It costs about $30-$40 I think, to get a muscle 4pack graded.

The grading doesn't really seem to be any importance to muscle collectors.  While cool to have a minty ass SC 4pack like this one, The AFA grading should not bump this up to $300....Like Biffard said in the top post- $150 is likely, because the prices of SC 4packs usually hit $100+.

You can get plenty of AFA worthy 4packs on Ebay right now.  http://www.ebay.com/...=item3f4a8563f4 This seller has a few perfect looking 4packs.  I have bought a couple from him and they are the mintiest packs I have.  No SC inside, but ya know.....Just an example of a very nice looking 4 pack selling for $21.

PSA cards in the Pokemon card collecting world really bang the price up! Presumably the same for AFA items.

I have dealt with AFA grading toys and I don't think they are worth it. From what I experienced, there are some collectors out there that get AFAs so they can feel special or something. Its mainly unopen and foreign toy collectors who do it the most.

With something like this, I imagine the AFA grading is to assure the potential buyer that it is not a resealed 4-pack.

Still, the price is too high.

I have mixed feelings about thew whole process in the comics market... so that's why I ask.  I feel like there, it definitely jacks up the price quite a bit.  And lots of times for nothing special.

I hate the idea of spending $40 only to have someone give an item a stamp of approval on the off chance it might dramatically increase the price.  And I don't know much about the toy market... but it's been my observation that with the mass adoption of that sort of grading has killed a huge portion of the secondary market for comics.  At least the non-graded stuff anyhow.  It's almost like you will never get full price for something that is VF or NM unless you have spent the $40 first... which is kinda effed up IMO.

DOn't get me wrong, I'm not against grading in general - but being on the outskirts of the comic industry over the last few years this is just my observation.

rephrase......

I have no interest in getting my stuff graded.  I grade them myself, like this- "keep it or sell it"  hahhaaa.........

Grading things, to me,  just means they aren't all banged up and in great shape.  No need to pay some strangers money to tell me what I can see for myself.  The cases are stellar, though.

Thinking about it- I haven't ever seen AFA100 before.

that sounds like a euphemism ;)

You can imagine what I wanted to call them....haha....
