Now DST is CAW'ing Armorvors?
Just doing what Minimates do naturally, seeing what the Beasts looked like with a more old-school flavor.

No, but the original Battle Beasts had a Gundam/Mech armor type of flair to them, like Halo/Armorvors do.Halo is old school?

I have been doing this with minimates for a little while now. Once I heard that DST were going to do minimate BBs, I started looking at minimates quite a bit more. Then I started picking up different minimates that had armor to them (like Iron Man, Halo, Battlestar Galactica, etc...) as well as minimates that had animalistic heads and started mixing and matching with some really fun results. I have been making my own minimate battle beasts since i saw the first gator pics. Some are obviously more successful than others. I'll post a few pictures in this thread this weekend. There's a bear coming out in the Street Fighter vs Tekken wave 2 line that has a great, sculpted bear head that I think is going to look awesome on some type of armored body mixed with his claws and feet.
I thought the same thing with the SFxT bear. I'm thinking of getting an extra Merk falcon and painting his body fiery and then adding the wings from the Phoenix character from the Marvel line.

I just bought a Halo 2 pack featuring an Elite and the Brute Chief that forms the body for the walrus head above. This is my first purchase of Minimates. Are they supposed to be played with or displayed? The awkward neck on the Elite doesn't fit in his armor, so his head won't stay on. Also, both feet of both figures constantly fall off, I keep finding them in my dog's mouth. I can't get either head to fit back on after I removed them. There are no instructions with these figures so I wondered if pulling them apart is a no-no? Am I supposed to glue them together in a pose I like or what? Strangely, the included weapons don't really fit into their hands either. Hopefully the Battle Beasts are in better shape than these, and I think they will be considering they have actual heads and not repurposed Lego heads.
They're meant to come apart and go back together. Occasionally you get loose feet, but that doesn't affect standing them up. I don't recommend playing with them over the floor if you have a dog, though.
Not sure why you can't get their heads back on if you took them off. Or why you can't get the weapons into their hands. What weapons, the gravity hammer? The fuel rod gun? The energy sword? I haven't had any problems with mine.

I've played around with them a little more. The only issue I have now is the neck piece on the Elite won't go back in. I think I just need to sever his plate on the back of his armor and it'd fit right in.
