I recently picked these up, they seem to be original Keshi versions of the US Water Hatchers minifigues.

Anyone else seen these before?

Not sure why, but  quite a bit of keshi have holes in their back like that, usually from the early 80s. Typically its on Bootlegs, but these seem to have legit markings. idk.

I've noticed this on some Neclos, particularly the early series. But only some figures have it. I've wondered about it too.

it might have to do with something when its molded. maybe to hold the figure in place. i know ive used pins sometimes to hold a flimsy figure in place. idk haha

Someone is already casting up the Gizmo, and he might have already casted up the Gremlin as well. I believe from the US Egg hatchers though, so im not sure how well the detail transferred.

Anyone get one of these from cal19toys?

I would be up for a repro of these. The sculpts from the water hatchers do not have the same details as these. The water hatchers seem a bit "off", kind of goopy looking.

Forwarded the pics of the Keshi versions to my friend who´s a big Gremlin collector and he got back to me with the following;

Attached File  LJNcollecibles.jpg   66.24K   38 downloads

Looks like they might be Japanese Keshi K.O. based on this set of Gremlins which was released by LJN toys.
Asked him if there might have been a Japanese release of those and what size they are but it looks like these are quite spot on when it comes to these Keshi ones.

I´ll add more if he comes back with more info.

Yeah those are the same sculpts used for the Water Hatchers by LJN.

Not sure if these are legit or not, but they have Markings and most if not all Bootlegs from japan remove the Markings (Other than some kinkeshi boots, but they are super warped so you can tell).

I know certain toy line mini-figures are cast in "Typical Japanese Rubber" in Japan instead of the typical PVC released in other countries.
