I really wasnt looking forward to this, but I owe it to LRG.
In December I bought a high priced battle beast from a seller on eBay who had been a member here for a few months and had seemed to be invested in our community.
They seemed to be a trustworthy member and after looking at their negative feedback on eBay, they still seemed to be a reasonable person. We all make mistakes but I should've seen the flags as bright red as they look to me now.
I feel like an idiot for letting them message me with promises until so much time had passed that eBay does not care what happened.
They continued to message me until April 18th a total of 5 messages they sent back after 8 messages total I sent them.
They were typical excuses that started with "I got the package back in the mail with incorrect postage so I'll send some extras to make up for the wait" which kept me happy. Then the excuses were "I got your address wrong and package was returned again".
After sending my address twice and reminding them that I live in the USA and more promises it was on its way with extras, they finally stopped replying. I even messaged them on LRG to see if they hadn't checked eBay in a while and forgot. I was very polite and patient and I have all or most of the messages saved or screenshot for proof if anyone is interested.

The only reason I haven't taken any action against them since Apr 18 is because I was stupidly hoping to receive the item after these unfortunate circumstances.
I see now that I am a damn fool and my only defense is that I really wanted the battle beast instead of any kind of refund.
I really value your opinion even if you say I "screwed up, simple as that".

What should I do?

Where does the seller live...maybe some one can pay them a visit. I know I have been tempted before to show up at someone's house that screwed me over online...hell, there are lots of us on here...even if it is too far away for you, might not be for me!

I'd get on the horn to Ebay, even though time has passed you have enough proof with your messages and all that you still can get a refund. Then I'd throw his name out to everyone and let them know he is a shady SOB and then I'd submit his email to every junk email server I could find. I find pleasure in knowing that everyday they get at least 20 emails of trash because of me (I keep their email in a list and every so often make sure they are on some new spam accounts).

Thanks guys!
I was hoping he would message me but after seeing he hasnt been on since Jan 21st I don't think he'll make too much effort to make it right.
I bought this Greek battle beast yellow crab decoy for a whopping $99 free shipping (ouch!) From LRG member "Blackened" Ebay member "and_retros_4all".

http://www.littlerub... +yellow +decoy

So if he doesn't fix it I guess I need to add him to the dishonest sellers. How long should I wait? 2 seconds LOL!

The crazy thing is he was really nice and seemed like a really cool guy. That's why it didn't bother me until he stopped messaging.
I thought his artwork was great and I wanted to buy one of his figures. He seems like a pretty reputable comic artist when I googled him. I have a lot of respect for him as an artist and I would hope he just effed up and this thread may get him to send it, or maybe I am hopelessly foolish.

Blackened is a great guy, i deal with him all the time, and actually collabed on the Battlegini figure he created and I casted up.  He lives in Greece though and the shipping from there sucksss.

I got my Battle Beast Decoy from him too.

Maybe it WAS just a big mistake and they are still on the way! Could take more than a month from Greece if April 18th was the last time he said he sent them!

Yeah, but six months is a bit excessive for a paid deal.

Has anyone else been in contact with this guy lately? Something bad could have happened on his end and maybe nobody knows?

Just trying to see this from another perspective.

I hope you can get this all sorted out!

I purchased something from him on Ebay about a month ago. Item had arrived in good time and I was able to follow its progress with the tracking number. No problems at all.  Did he not give you a tracking number to follow? In my experience, if the seller doesn't give you a tracking number, then they usually did not ship the item.

I talk to him a couple times a week on FB, and like I said i've done many deals with him and collabed with him. Its not my place to to prove his motives or fight his battle, but I would trust him.

Thanks guys, advice is priceless!
Sadly he did not provide a tracking number and he was honest every time saying he had not yet shipped it. It seemed like a lot of effort when he could've lied and said he shipped it, so it made me feel he was more trustworthy.

Whoa whoa wwwhoooaaaaaa...

Public stoning? Show up on my doorstep (le lol.?) Rally up the troops and do nasty things to me? Yeah no. srsly.
Chill my dear Colosseum of the internets.
I've send the damn package 3 times, it actually cost more to send it than the money i got of it. SERIOUSLY. So forget the whole mob mentality "nanu nanu you tuk out dollaz"

easy. I send the package for the fourth time and here it is again, with an extra hardcover comic book, and some obscure greek keshi.

I mean the last and fourth time i send it it was 15 euros, and thats a lotta dollars, have in mind that this is times 4 and i am actually paying more to ship than the money i got for the fig.

My bad that i didn't reply on ebay but in my defense my inbox is hectic from dudes that wanna cut deals outside ebay.

that said, you package is on its way (again) with some extra stuff that i hope you dig.

You guys the peanut gallery are firestarters, chillax.

We cool? hope we are, honest to Chtulhu mistake sister.

I can confirm that receiving packages from Greece is not always a done deal since I´ve had a package being shipped back and forth from Greece as well. Tracking details showed me it´s been in my country for 2 HOURS (!?!?) before customs returned it back to Greece since the address details were incomplete. A couple of days later the seller was able to pick it up at the PO in Greece again where he´d dropped it of. Not sure if this might´ve been the case as well but didn´t sound very strange to me saddly enough, in the end it almost took a month extra before it was finally delivered.

Based on Blackened reply I´d say problem solved although I hope he´s figured out the main reason for the return because if it has happened 3x by now its not only frustrating for ScreaminDemon but also for Blackened himself looking at the cots of shipping..... If he can clarify its not his fault he has all the right to file a claim against his shipping company for the extra costs made at least that´s what my PO told me concerning my experience with this return to Greece.

Hope it´ll make it this time and its good to see we´ve some short lines on the board who´re able to help out situations like these but think this should also be a lesson for everyone dealing with Ebay sellers who´re not related to LRG because if you don´t react within the set time frame the seller can easily get away with a scam because if the 30 days (I believe?) period to file a claim has expired there´s not much Ebay will do for you.
