Hey friends!

Over the many years of LRG collecting, I've been slowly but surely training my wife to identify various mini figure toy lines, oftentimes by dropping a handful in her lap and testing her. Yesterday, I took it to the next level! It's easy enough to turn over the figures and look at the markings on their backs or bottoms of their feet for clues, but now I've tested her on sight alone by creating.... the ULTIMATE Mini Figure Quiz on Sporcle!

As of now, this quiz includes 60 different lines/subsets of LRGs and other mini figures. She scored a 49/60 (and I'm super proud) but I'd love for you guys to give it a playthrough too. Let me know how you do!

34/60. There were a couple that I know I know what they are, but I couldn't come up with the actual names.

Thank you

49/60. Kept blanking on the P.E.T. Aliens name, a few I didn’t recognize, and a couple I had issues with the name formatting, but a real good quiz.

13/60

Which is not bad considering I´m out here on LRG in an area that probably only makes up 5-10% so I from that point of view I did well :)

I´ve been called a ¨Yedi¨ by some for the lines I´m out here for and I know my limitations on the rest so now I´ll quickly return to the Beast area of LRG.

But it´s been a fun quiz though, thanks!

Should have been 59
I guess it’s safe to post spoilers here?
I full blown didn’t know sky commanders
I knew 3 of them that I didn’t get right though:
I couldn’t spell kombattini (double t’s?!)
I couldn’t spell rogun robots, needed the hyphen for it to count as correct I’m guessing?
Gumball ninjas got me, didn’t know how to write it in to get the correct answer.

Gumball ninjas got me, didn’t know how to write it in to get the correct answer.

Weird. I got that one by only putting in 'ninjas'. The ones I messed up the names/spelling were Beast Saga(I was trying Battle Beast Saga) and Garbage Pale Kids. I got 30. I also know some by sight, but didn't know the name/spelling. The one I'm disappointed in myself not knowing was GUTS. Those were some of my favorite toys as a kid.

I'm on a desk top. I tried about 12 different ways of saying 'ninja' and I couldn't get it either.

It also didn't take 'C.U.T.I.E.' the first time, but I tried it again and it gave it to me.

Thank you

I tried to include as many alternate and shortened names as possible. "ninjas" (for Gumball Ninjas, not Ninja Mites), "rogun robots", and "cuties" should all work. They had to be plural though.

If you have other suggestions for alternate name formats for some of these, I'd be happy to include them. I tried to be thorough, but if you have ideas, let me know!

Congrats! Looks like you've got the LRG board high score! (not counting me, of course)

Not a lot that I think merits changing, but let me try to run through the ones I missed as best I can recall:

I'm sure I could have missed them or forgotten but I feel like I've never seen the Sky Commanders around LRG before! Those were super out of left field.

"Chibi Kinkeshi" got me because I didn't realize you were looking specifically for "chibi", tried SD a couple times instead.

Changeables got me only because for years I'd heard them referred to online as "McChangeables". It was only after taking the test that I saw how they were officially named in ads and such. I feel like I might have tried just "changeables" and didn't get it though.

Was not familiar with Minibot Action Team, those are just bootleg Z-Bots I take it?

Had no clue what Slurfies were, the only term I remember describing them around here was "jigglers".

Just plain forgot about Musclemania and their Korean counterparts, couldn't remember the Timmee figures or the Remco wrestlers, and plain goofed on Cosmix (even though I remembered Exogini and knew I hadn't used Cosmix as an answer, d'oh).

I think the last one I missed was "bootleg M.U.S.C.L.E." because I thought you wanted a specific subline with those partially painted bodies and gave up when I couldn't remember one.

Overall, it was a great quiz and a fine little distraction.

Yeah, Sky Commanders are definitely among the more obscure lines, but they tend to pop up often in lots of Dino Riders and M.A.S.K. figures.

Yeah, chibi was def the specific I was looking for. I could add "SD kinkeshi" as an alt, but really thats a different set entirely.

Although it's not the official name, I'll add McChangeables as an alt.

MiniBot Action Team are indeed Z-Bot bootlegs. They're possibly even the most obscure thing on the quiz, but like I said, the quiz was initially intended for my wife, and I knew she was familiar with them.

I'll def add "jigglers" and "rubber jigglers" as an alt for Slurfies.

Re: the bootlegs, I wasn't looking for any specific. "Bootleg" works as an acceptable answer.

Thanks again for playing and reviewing! Happy to include some of your suggestions!

Yeah, you don't need to worry about including SD over chibi, I just don't follow kinkeshi enough to have remembered the distinction. For most lines they're synonymous. I was just mentioning everything I missed, most of which was not me eliciting feedback.

My interpretation has always been that labeling something "SD" (or super deformed) is more about the disproportionately-sized head-to-body ratio. Whereas, "chibi" means small, chubby, and child-like. It seems a fierce debate once occurred on wikipedia's Chibi talk page.
