Let me be the first to say this sounds stupid. If you were really going to do this, then you’d take any figure - period. And you’d announce it after you’d accumulated at least a halfway decent number (i.e., 50,000, 100,000, etc.).

This just reads like a person desperate to start a topic.

Aren’t you one of those guys always complaining about money? That kind of disposition doesn’t strike me as a person with $500,000 in disposable income over any period of time.

Or...Alan? -_-

Imagine if you actually were in a posistion to just buy and buy all the muscles you wanted in order to accomplish your dream of a million.... I think some of the members who have given you support for the plan would soon change their mind when they were no longer able to buy any muscles for themselves ... i mean a million muscles would take a sizeable chunk out of the ones available to everyone else. You may become the target of jealousy and hatred.... even more so than Alex :D -_-

Good point Doc. I don't have any idea of how many were actually made. But guarrantee I'll have the largest collection of muscles ever, even if its not a million total.I plan on getting at least 100,000.
...but we'll see how far I can go!

Yeah I think 100,000 is a more reasonable goal. I was just thinking about this. If you add up everybody on the boards collections collectively (because this board is prolly the majority of collectors), then add up every single muscle on ebay right now, you would still have less than 50,000. I know when I was seriously collecting, most of what I woul dput on ebay were doubles, so sooner or later there would be fewer and fewer doubles to buy cause you would own them all hahaha. I really dont see muscles going up in value over time, I see them decreasing to be truthful, so 15 years from now, they will be harder to find, but I bet way cheaper.

Well, it's probably more workble than you think... I mean, especially if you're not super picky over which sculpts... You could trade one figure in need for several of somebody else's doubles.
Food for thought.

I must ask though, do you really wanna piss away over $500,000 on Muscle figures??? :D

Is this a work?
Seriously?
Big money for M.U.S.C.L.E.S...... That statement has got to be a put on.

1,000,000 MUSCLEs at an average cost of .50 each would be half a million buckaroonies!

Oh, I get that.
I guess the base sanctimonious object of spending big buckeroos on M.U.S.C.L.E.s being in question is what had me wondering if that was a joke or not.

Wow... Quite the arduous task! Will a million be enough though? When you're done you will have (One Million Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere) If you had Two million, then you would be the only collector to truly have MILLIONS of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere!!

You should really put up a web-site tallying the figures you've obtained, maybe with a countdown meter to show how close you're getting to your goal.

This is exactly what I thought when I read this topic. A million MUSCLEs is a nice idea, but it's questionable that there were even a million made back in the day. And it's even MORE questionable that there are a million MUSCLEs left in circulation now in the condition that Czarcher requires. I'd say that even 100,000 is iffy. Check out this old topic for an estimation of people's collections. I'm sure the numbers are totally different these days, but it gives you a good idea of what people's collections are like.

But considering high-rollers like Alex and Philly, who have been collecting hard-core for years, have collections that number in the low thousands, there's no way that we even have 100,000 MUSCLEs between all of us on the board. But if you drain all of us totally dry of our MUSCLE collections, maybe you'd have a shot... and it would only cost you $50,000!

Parhaps you could try a million of small rubber/plastic type figures eg.
Fistful of Power
M.U.S.C.L.E
Monster in my pocket
Exogini
etc
etc
etc....

Might make the task slightly eisier then you would have more variations to collect

On another note Soupie said about a duplicator.... dont we have one here called TGB???
