"Chase" Figures?

To further add to the madness, they started releasing buildable figures in later acts, which are noticably larger than the regular ones. You get a random piece of them in each regular figure bag, which makes completing them a royal pain in the arse. I have all these spare parts and incomplete crap now, and I bought about 5 cases of these bee-eye-itches in Japan.
Now you guys wanna see something REALLY ridiculous? Get on ebay and type in Metal Gear Solid Kubrick in the search field. There are figures in that set that go for twice as much as a Satan Cross and are not even .0001% as old as he is, these things came out in 2001!!! It's crazy.... sometimes I forget these toys are all made of PLASTIC. What the hell are we doing...

This figure comes in a 1:96 ratio and is really hard to find, but... Why isn't he keeping this for himself? You mean to tell me he was lucky enough to find 2 of them? If so, he must have spent about a thousand bucks doing so. I bought 4 cases (12 boxes to a case) of act 8 TF pvc's and I got ONE chase figure, each case costing roughly 60 bucks...
What an a-hole... listing it at 50 dollars. That will tell you he could give a mad F@!K about making someone happy, this dude only cares about one thing... $$$

Maybe he doesn't really care all that much about it and wants to make a quick buck. Many toy collectors aren't in it for the fun of collecting... they think they can make money selling their collection either now or in the future. Think of all the supposed "collectors" that got more than two Jorg Saculs at SW: Celebration II to "keep two, sell some on Ebay." They're no better than toy dealers and scalpers, in my opinion. This figure comes in a 1:96 ratio and is really hard to find, but... Why isn't he keeping this for himself?
Anyway, I personally despise chase figures because they make collecting an entire set both extremely difficult and extremely expensive. Collectors usually get pissed off when toy companies try this (PO'ed enough to boycott the line... think Star Trek), so I'm not sure what Medicom and Takara are thinking. Maybe collectors don't mind it in Japan...
