Anyone familiar with these a little taller than the standard "Street Shark" can't seem to find any info on them - marked 1996 "street wise designs" same company that made the street sharks - thanks in advance. Robert@Popculturizm.com

I'm a big Street Sharks fan, if you ever decide to sell any of these definitely let me know. I think I like these more than the sharks!

You know, I've been looking all day trying to remember what these are. I remember seeing them in the stores, and thinking what a lame attempt to redo what Street Sharks did. I think these even ended up in closeout stores like Big Lots, but for the life of me can't find anything on them. I keep leaning toward something K-9, but still can't find it.

I spent all day yesterday trying to hunt these guys down and ended up with nothing, a rarity for me. Might have to call up some friends and see what they know.

That's exactly why I never got into Street Sharks in the first place, it was a lame attempt at recreating what TMNT did by making everything extreme and even more surfer. I was so loyal to TMNT I sort of boycotted anything that resembled it (Biker Mice, Street Sharks, Bucky O'hare). Looking back I'd kill to have any toy lines like those in stores now, even if I didn't buy them I'd appreciate the diversity in the toy aisle.... ahhh the 90's. I miss em.

I keep leaning toward something K-9, but still can't find it.

I think K-9 was a 12" dog figure. I remember seeing it in K-Mart. It's possible that this is the name to this one too but you could be confusing it with the 12" figure.

URS-Are you thinking K-9 Corps?

I still don't know what these things are. Somebody on another board asked about these once (they didn't have pictures though) and nobody knew then either.

Do you remember where you bought them?

Wow, I can't find jack on the net. Several references on eBay and in peoples feedbacks, but no real toy info.

Good find RAD.

Good job Run Amuck. I actually looked up Mutts as well, and couldn't find anything....I should have checked completed auctions, but I always forget about that.

In case this comes up again some day. :whoops:

I love how the logo is even meant to look almost exactly like the Street Sharks logo. Oh, Streetwise Designs, have you no shame?!?

That was good runamuck - genius for looking into trademarks - 20.00 bucks for the set - was pretty good score for some one - 49.00 postage was probably about right since these things are pretty big. well done!!
