Finally, is what -- to me -- is probably the best toy of the year. My two favorite plastic types are, without a doubt, 1) glow-in-the-dark and 2) translucent green.
This figure is the best of both! (Not to mention that I thematically collect both skeleton and ghost toys from any toyline.)
The skeleton has been a favorite figure from their mainline playsets as both a 'skeleton pirate' and a 'skeleton mummy.' Although there are some other translucent yellowish green regular-bodied 'ghost pirates' (that also came out this year), this is the first 'sheet-type' ghost accessory ever from Imaginext.
This is also their first translucent skeleton. Notice that the internal plastic at the articulation points is opaque white -- giving some additional details within.
The only thing that I would have liked to have seen adjusted would have been the ghost-sheet coming down lower in the front -- so that it could stand on its own without requiring a skeleton (or another figure) to be inside.
In addition to more mutants, the top thing that I would like to see in Series 6 would be some variation on this skeleton-ghost combo. Something like a GID skeleton and a translucent ghost or a black skeleton and a GID ghost that glows in a different color.
Whether this happens or not, the current combo still makes for one of my favorite figures of all time.
Like I said, translucent green plus GID is simply a win-win!
