Ericnilla's entry is the funniest and almost got my vote,
but I decided to go with the Rayquaza-Skull Grotess cross-over entry of Transformersontheshelf,
because I like both Pokémon and Battlebeasts, although I'm sure it wasn't intended as either!

Nice repaint-work too MrMunkeePants!
Oh and I liked halfaway's Sunshine between States as well.

I had to go for Tortles enty. Couldn't give a crud about Avatar, but loved how Godzilla turned out!

And really, there isn't anything I don't like about the other entries. The differences in style are so obvious, and that makes me enjoy the contest more. If everyone had entered similar styled entries, I think it would have been boring.

I thought the paint jobs were great, especially the Madball. And the Sunshine just really appealed to me. I could also really appreciate TFOTS' Dragonsea entry. Drawing anything in Paint except circles and straight lines is difficult enough.

And Eric, as soon as I saw your entry, Peter Cullen's voice ran through my head saying that.

I'm not voting until I can see "MUSCLE Doodles", as the original file suffers from the Too Big To Open issue.

I think it may have something to do with the interaction between my ISP and yours. I am sitting here at work, and I can get that file just fine. It is almost 3mb, so it takes a minute, but it shows up fine.

Here it is for posterity (resolution reduced to 150dpi).

Thanks jkaris, I have the same problem at work (UK government Home Office server there) so it's all a bit mystifying.

The HoH repaints I can open mostly, then it stops and I get a big red cross :/

Having now seen Muscle Doodles, I might just vote for it

Such a difficult choice, they are all really great. I agree the variety makes it that much more interesting. I have to go for Ericnilla's myself though, I love Transformers and it really appeals to my sense of humor

Oh and here is "Doodles" at the original resolution but in JPEG form so its a reasonable size. Sorry 'bout that, I uploaded the originals when I was more ignorant of the sins of file sizes.

Don't sweat it. You wouldn't have had to start putting up the polls in the first place if I hadn't gotten so lax with it last year. As for the challeng itsself, there's at least 11 more this year, and 2 going right now, so plenty of room to catch up.

Normally I have, what I hope is, constructive feedback for every entry. I don't know if I'm too busy or too tired to do it this time. Maybe it's a little of both. :D

First I want to say thank you to all of the participants. It is awesome to see so many people participating. These contests really are one of my favorite parts of the LRG board. I know that I'm not even in the same ballpark as most of the artists, but all of the entries over the last few years have inspired me to try and enter as many of these as possible.

Reccom's entries always amaze me – both in creativity and quality. And Tortle's entries have become like a white noise of stunning talent. They're always so good you begin to take them for granted.

I also liked many of the entries from some people I don't remember seeing before: smokingun, Nyrathlotep, halfaway - among others.

I never look at the current voting results before I make my selection, but since I had an entry I couldn't resist. I was stunned and humbled to see someone had voted for my Pez truck. I figured I would be voting for my truck simply because I was proud of it. Instead I was disappointed to see neither MrMunkeepants nor Reccom's dollar store custom and oddblock had received any votes.

Since Reccoom's getting a decent number of votes for his other entry, my vote goes to MrMunkeepants HOH paints. Some people might view this as a pity vote, but I think of it as an appreciation vote. HOH has received a surprising amount of attention on our board, and I thought he did a really nice job on the figures - plus his entry was unique.

Thanks again to all the people that entered the contest! :(

Note to halfaway: I would have voted your entry if it had been the actual figure you made. That thing is sweet. But still very cool concept.

My vote ended up going to Recooms Dolar store Madball. I t might have something to do with the fact that I have been attempting customs lately. But definitely a very nice piece.

I actually like all entries but somebody has got to win. Great entries everyone. Keep this shizznit coming

I voted for Reccoom's dollar store Madball repaints, but Eric's entry was a close second for me. Cool stuff all around everyone! Veers, awesome idea with the Pez truck!

Thanks to everyone for making our first 2010 art challenge such a strong start, and to all who voted and gave feedback.

It looks like I won this one, which always leaves me a bit uncomfortable when announcing the results. Anyway, 30+ votes is a strong turnout, and hopefully the LRG Jedi Academy Challenge will garner even more.

If a mod could close this poll...
