Here is a pretty neat little contest for those of you who are huge MUSCLE-heads!
To enter the contest, you need to post a short essay on why YOU are the #1 MUSCLE-head in the world! Tell us about it, post pics, links, etc!
The winner will receive the 28 pack that once held the Magnificent 11:
http://www.littlerub...?showtopic=9766
minus the eleven super rares of course, of course.
Some of you might say, "Whoop-dee-doo, a half empty 28-pack box ", but for those who will enter, I know that they will truly appreciate holding a piece of M.U.S.C.L.E. history in their hands!
Contest will run from now, until Thanksgiving day. Winner will be decided by board vote which will be open from the day after Thanksgiving through the following Monday.

U is for you.
S is for special.
C is for collection.
L is for love.
E is for Everyone.
In other words noone could define who is the King Muscleman, because M.U.S.C.L.E.s are for everyone. I could easily post pictures of a figure's hands as a crown, wooden handmade rings from childhood, pics with other wrestling organization champions, signed music DVDs accompanied with hugs and pictures from WWE Diva Search Winner and Playboy cover model. Unity showcased by another members custom coloring work displaying that United Nations is protected. A youtube channel of wrestling with M.U.S.C.L.E. the way they should be. But that would be a unfair advantage to someone who has something meaningful to express in words that would get overlooked by all the shiny lights.
The answer is simple, noone can. I am not going to enter a essay to beat other members for this title. For me that could only be decided by brutality inside a 12 inch X 12 inch ring. With no countouts of course. I am entering because I support M.U.S.C.L.E.s and therefore can take one for the team.
So in conclusion, I reach out to the voters. My words may seem simple but I am asking for little. If you cannot feel secure with a winner, then choose me to hold the cardboard.
My M.U.S.C.L.E. title can only be won by me, it is only fair I do not try and take someone elses'.
On second thought, just watch.... M.U.S.C.L.E. Wrestling Videos

Because I have stuck with the hobby consistantly for several years. I joined the MPS Mailing List when I was in highschool. When everyone started mentioning AKIA and spam became a problem with the Kinnikuman@yahoogroups.com list, I migrated to AKIA.
Not only have I discussed the possibilities of getting the anime that MUSCLE descended from translated, I also contacted over eighty different groups about getting the series translated. Though my efforts did not pay off, I did try. I also occasionally nudge at the fansubbing group to show my support for their efforts, and my appriciation of what they are doing.
I am still trying to dub and remake all sounds for "Kinnikuman: Crisis in New York," though life, hard disc failures, and a lack of good voice actors that will act for free have stimied this greatly.
I (and a few others no longer with us) cajoled AK of Troy to push through to the end of Volume 9 after he abandoned the series. I am one of the ones who encouraged the current savior of the Kinnikuman Manga, SoldierAtaru, to not re-tread ground already covered by AK of Troy and to fill in where he missed. I also did and am doing my part for getting some of the mangas out there by editing the raw Japanese comics, both early in the formation of Team Kinniku and now with Kinnikuman Lady.
I have a near-complete set of USA Gen 2 merchandise, missing only the chase figure variants and about two thirds of the opposite-color foil-stampped CCG rares-- though I have a full set by name. I also worked really hard to 'translate' the rules from Engrish and make a reference website for EVERY CARD in the game.
I tried for years to hack the NES game MUSCLE into Ultimate Muscle, and finally accomplished this with Mister J. A. M. M, a computer programmer I contacted that agreed to help me with the color palette reprogramming.
I 'humormixed' the song TNT by AC/DC into the song DMP starring Mars, the most popular villian from Ultimate Muscle.
I have read and observed all I can within this hobby, and though I havn't gotten everything the toyline offers, or even every figure, I try to see where things can be connected or improved. Note the connection of the 'figures plus car' set with the boardgame figures-- though I didn't do anything THAT hard that wouldn't be done eventually, I did observe it first due to my knowledge of the figures.
My only regret? I didn't finish Mr. T vs Mars, Audio Style, before my old computer crashed, taking all the work I put into it away.
And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

There are many objects that occupy my space; collections of varying degree and tangibility. All of my life I have taken interest in a wide variety of subjects. All of these have left evidence of their existence in my possession, be it through the accumulation of related objects, or the extended insight into said subjects.
Amidst this eclectic array of physical objects' and the interwoven patchwork of thought processes they give rise to, there is one singular concept that has had a profound and lasting effect on me like no other: M.U.S.C.L.E.
My history with M.U.S.C.L.E.s, and my meditations upon them, are long and ongoing.
I was first introduced to M.U.S.C.L.E. in 1985, as a small gift from one young child to another. Immediately they stood out from any other objects I had ever seen; even thought they were small, uniformly colored figures, each sculpt denoted it's own unique personality and character.
Very little prescribed information accompanied these alien beings, and in my young hands these blank slates had a powerful, nearly explosive, impact on my imagination. These figures became the ultimate medium onto which I could project the endless stream of energy constantly pouring out of my brain!
Throughout the remaining years of my childhood, my M.U.S.C.L.E. collection grew, as well as the distinct psychological connections I made with many of the figures themselves. They were a constant presence in all aspects of my life back then, be it a handful of them in my pocket, or the cardboard box of them I dragged around nearly everywhere I went.
Many an instance of my childhood can be recalled by looking over a particular sculpt. Tied to these figures are distinct memories places and people, many of which are no longer among us.
As I grew into adolescence, the process behind a lot of my thought began to mature, a result of which turned my mind to matters which were more, for lack of a better term, spiritual in nature. As these new phases of thought began in my mind, M.U.S.C.L.E. was still a constant presence among my thoughts.
As I began to ponder much of my own existence, both the concepts and fables I had conceived of and connected to these figures took a new line of perspective in my mind. Through the re-examination of many of these ideas, I was able to come to terms with many of the concepts that had alluded me throughout the earlier part of my childhood.
For me, many an insightful inner dialogue was at least sparked, if not irrevocably interwoven, with M.U.S.C.L.E.
Even to this day, after many years of change and varied constancy, M.U.S.C.L.E. is still a focus of my every day life.
I still view them as my favorite medium of imaginative expression, and continually find that my path to inner enlightenment is paved with Matell Keshi.
In conclusion, I would like to post one picture. It is an interior shot of the front center window on the second floor of my home. From outside at night, it glows like a beacon!

not that it is discounted. We as consumers are conditioned to think"On Sale"means it's cheaper.

James, your videos and pcs show how much you are into muscles
Orgg, your tireless efforts upfront and behind the scenes shows your committment
Fuzz, your art, your collection and your time given to this board shows your committment
It is going to be a hard choice...
However, if Jon wasn't hosting this contest, I would have to vote for him, not as a mother, but as someone who knows his committment not only to muscles but to the whole community.
Here is his story:
He started collecting muscles when they first came out. I believe he was 10 yrs old then. He collected so many I had an engineer friend at work design and build a shelf to hold each one in its own box. When he grew up he started AKIA and went to a lot of time and effort to set up wrestling matches, etc and kept them updated on the board with pics in sequence, etc, just for muscle fans. His own collection was completed in both flesh and colored muscles, kinkeshi, romandos, UM, etc. Never saw another collection so complete per muscles and Kinnikuman. He started the LRG forum board, runs the servers, upgrades, etc just for muscle fans/collectors. He opened the store just for muscle fans, etc and put his time and effort into buying the best he could to sell to muscle customers. He has given away a lot of muscles, one by one or more, just to help a fellow collector out. His effort to find only the 'best' muscles to sell to the community actually gave me a headache trying to sort through the lots and know what was 'good enough' for him, lol. He had his wife and his kids sorting and pulling muscles for orders until they gave up and quit (which is where I came in). He made connections in Japan and found NEW muscles, packs, unpunched, etc, to get into the US community.
And so much more, that i don't even know about or have forgotten about.
He would be my first choice as a muscle fanatic.....
As a mom, I am proud of this kid. As a muscle 'Fan', I am overwhelmed by him.
With that said, I will now cast my vote...
