The 21 figure lot that I won off of ebay finally came and there is good news and bad news. The good news is that there were actually TWO flesh colored figures. One of them just looked orange in the picture because it is darker than the other flesh figure. The bad news is that they smell like smoke something awful. Anyone know how to remedy that?
Anyway, I took some pics of my entire collection by color for your viewing pleasure.
I wanna thank Ericnilla for letting me win this auction. I've been trying to supplement my collection of these guys and I would have DIED if I hadn't won this auction. I also would have gone broke in my race to win them. Thanks again for being such a stand up guy.

Congrats, Asator! Is it cool if Fitz and I use some of these pics for a Toypedia entry at some point? The bad news is that they smell like smoke something awful. Anyone know how to remedy that?
As for the smoke smell, that's too bad. A heavy smell of smoke can ruin an otherwise great looking figure. Especially if the smoke smell is so bad that you can't store it with your other figures. Plastic/rubber is very porous so it pretty much soaks up smells like a sponge. When I get figures that mildly smell of smoke, I scrub them with hand soap, soak them in hot, soapy water, and then put them in a container with a fresh bar of soap, candles, and other figures. Sometimes I even spray them lightly with Frebreeze.
If the figures smell heavily of smoke, I'm not sure there is too much you can do besides reduce the smoke smell a little. I'm not sure you can totally erase it. Hopefully someone else has some suggestions because I'd love to hear em.

Yeah, you can use them for your site, no prob! I'm REALLY interested in seeing Fitz's originals when he gets them. Fitz said 42 original keshi? Is that 42 different sculpts, or just 42 figures? If you have any extras PLEASE let me be first in line for a trade or sale.
Note: The figures I have now range from VERY flexible and soft rubber (the two flesh figures) to fairly hard plastic (the orange guy with the coke bottle weapon).
Thanks also for the tip Soups, about getting rid of the smell. I'm gonna try that right now. I have a soft toothbrush that I use to clean my MIMP figures that I can use. Hopefully it helps.

Your army is really starting to pick up now.
The only thing I can offer you with trying to get rid of the smoke smell on your figures:
Try using a small amount of fabric softener mixed with some warm water in a bowl.
I tried this once with a Muscle lot I received that wasn't to pleasant on my nostrils,it worked pretty good.
Or
Just keep them by a window in your house during the night so they can air out,It might take a while but it should work.
Keep us updated.

Yeah, I thought about that too. I'd be curious to know if that would work -- it's pretty much the opposite of closing them up with a bar of soap. I even have an all-house fan that sucks cool, night air into me house, so if I sat the figs by a window, the fan would pull air over them all night.Just keep them by a window in your house during the night so they can air out,It might take a while but it should work.
It might just do the trick. I'll try it next time I get smokey figs.
(Nice addition to your sig by the way... )

I hope they arive soon
I think it was 42 different sculpts from the line but not all 'canned food', there was a couple of other styles. And if I decide to not keep any I'll let you know Asator

edit: ha ha from an ebay guide of all places:
PLASTIC [or other washable] TOYS, ETC.
Bleach and vinegar won't get to some smells that plastic absorbs.
Try using kitty litter confined with the plastic item. Pack it as for books (above) pack it in there and leave it for a few days. If the toy is small enough, put it in the kitty litter bag from the store.
Dump them in the bathtub, with soap and vinegar.
Run them through the dishwasher.
Scrub them by hand with orange or lemon based cleaner. The dollar store sells AWESOME but it has strong fumes. Spray it onto your cloth and then wipe it on straight.

they will pick up snakes in their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them

It looks like one even got used for an ashtray (or was tortured with a ciggy).
Naw. That was one of the ones I had since I was a kid. He was a casualty of the Great Magnifying Glass Wars.
