Okay, I was out buying the new Beast-Man, when I saw something. The deluxe "battle Sound" He-Man. Most of them wear silver armour, but this one is clad in gold. he also comes with the video "Dragon Invasion." is he worth any more than the normal electronig He-Man, or should I just unpackage him and put him on my shelf?

He looks cool in the package, but he's as common as the silver one. Take him out (carefully) and play with him.

No need to wprry about worth, or go into re-sell mode?

Nope. Funny thing is, Toybliss has the He Man with the regular cross on his armor, instead of the asterisk, as $50. What a JOKE. He sells for regular price on eBay, and he is ALL over in TRU and KB stores. As far as the gold guy, I've seen a TON of him. Probably about 1 for every 2 silvers. But still, I would open it carefully and save the box. So that way, when you are 75 and you need $$ for your prescription drugs, you can get the most out of him.

These seem to be very high production numbers for variations (since I've seen them all over the place), so I wouldn't worry about them being "worth" something. Even if these were rare, interest (and money spent) in variations wane over time. In the early days of POTF2, there was a Tan Vest Luke Jedi variation that was pretty hard to come by, and commanded a relatively hefty secondary market price. But nowadays, nobody cares about him, and you can get one for dirt cheap. So, screw it! Just rip 'em open and have a little fun, I say! ^_^

He-Man just had an electronic battle with my new electronic swarm Alien.

Lots and lots of yellings, clashings, and screechings. I don't know who won.

Mattel is doing a variant for each wave, as far as the solicitations in Previews says.
