About a week ago I won a 27 Muscle lot on Ebay. Well when I got them they looked just like the regular Muscles that I had but they were made of a much harder plastic substance and they were shinier then regular Muscles. They had the YSNT mark on the back so I don't think that they are bootlegs. The auction was from Canada if that makes a difference. Any ideas why they are like this??

take a look at your other musclemen, perhaps your other ones are actually kinnikuman and the new ones are real muscles, if so then your other ones will have much less detail and the new ones will be more crisp and have a lot better detail. either that or they are bootlegs.

Or, maybe your other MUSCLEs are well played-with and worn, and the ones you just got are mint and new. Even if they're clean, played-with MUSCLEs would probably loose some of their sheen, and maybe even seem slightly softer. I don't know of any difference between American and Canadian MUSCLEs, so I would assume this is the case. Have you high-rollers (Johnny, DocMooreJ, and Arforbes) noticed any differences like this in your massive collections?

I know the other Muscles in my collections are legit because I bought them when I was a kid. These Muscles almost seem like there is no bend to them whatsoever. I will post some pictures later to show you the difference.

oh, well if you bought them as a kid its fair to say they have been played with for 17 years, i bet the new ones are spanking new and shiny and hard. i bet the get softer and less shiny after you play with em a while (like tortle said)

i also have a few of those Hong Kong figures
they look almost the same but are a much harder plastic
also i got a couple that are a much much softer plastic you can bend them in half. but these also have Hong Kong.
if your guy's have the right trade mark on the back wraith might be right about them.
