In case you didn't know, BreaKey is a collectible key game created by Upper Deck, who is known for their sports cards. The object of the game is that you and your opponent stick your BreaKeys together, and TWIST! To try and break off your opponent's key! Each BreaKey also comes with an alpha-numerical battle code you can redeem on www.gobreakey.com (now defunct) for going against other people on the online game, and also win prizes! Each BreaKey also has one of over 50 crazy characters. I happened to have found an old starter box of BreaKeys with a piranha Battle Strap, which I bought at a GoodWill store. Normally, the starter sets usually come with 20 BreaKeys, two rare ones, a Battle Strap, and a poster of the characters. The one I got at GoodWIll didn't come with the poster, but it did come with two rare glow-in-the-dark BreaKeys. Below here is a picture of four BreaKeys and a piranha Battle Strap.

Goodwill is great for old toys. I had a buddy find a full set of G1 Dinobots for like $20.

Are the BreaKeys to unlock the cuffs ?

I'm only familiar with Battle Straps ons for women.

BreaKeys don't unlock handcuffs, silly!

Here's how the game works

You and your opponent put the operating ends of your keys together like 0--><--0 <--That's how BreaKeys are supposed to be like when attached together for battle

Then you twist your key to try to break your opponent's key's end off

I was asking i.designs

About someone getting hurt playing BreaKeys, don't worry. You and your opponent connect the keys together, twist to break off your opponent's end, and win

This does not seem like a game with much replay value.

A rating of 1.39/10 on BoardGameGeek would appear to confirm that suspicion.

Simple minds, simple pleasures.

Some of the reviews on BoardGameGeek are absolutely brilliant and worth repeating here:

- Absolutely pathetic. I don't know who thought that breaking cheap plastic toys was a game, but I hope they've lost their job. This so-called game is a waste of resources, and I am glad to see it failed.

- Not only is it a game that destroys itself as you play, but it's made from non-recyclable plastic. Truly a reason to loathe Upper Deck.

- Wow, who ever thought of this games must have a place set aside for them in the darkest parts of hell.

- Just thinking about this makes me nauseous. Seriously.

- This is not a game. This is not a toy. It is inconceivable that anyone thought they could sell this and make money on it.

Whoever wrote this clearly never met AlexTheCollector:

- Has anyone ever been stupid enough to pay money for this after finding out what it is?

Hasn't this game come up on the forum before?

It's like someone said, "let's make a collectible game,' but then right after saying "collectible" he had a stroke and died.
