Showcase #1: Kinnikuman Perfect Collection 205

The eyes are not playing tricks on you lol

Those are 8 sets of the 205 Perfect Collection! (technically 4 are complete)

The sets are in different conditions and each has its own story. From the 8 sets I can have two complete sets (four sets have the complete set of Kinkeshi and none are missing; only the accessories vary per set).

205 Perfect Collection consists of:

1-3 Giant Cards

2-1 Booklet

3-One scroll

4-Part 1 to Part 13 of the Kinnikuman Kinkeshi line (the only releases up to that point)

I have them displayed along with my Weekly Shonen Jump that feature Kinnikuman covers due to space. Eventually if I ever get the second half of the vintage line I will display them openly but that am afraid is akin to completing a Mattel MUSCLE Master set.

*EDIT September 30, 2017: I added 4 more 205 boxes and ever since I no longer have the 2008 reissue Kinkeshi in one of the boxes. All of them have vintage KInkeshi now!

First set:

This was the first 205 Perfect Collection I acquired; long before I joined LRG and after buying the DVD/reissue set I wanted the original kinkeshi line. It has almost everything minus the scroll, black bookmark & cover sleeve. The inside of the box is clean (sometimes people stored the kinkeshi in the box but in time they melted the plastic inside the box!)

This was the 2nd 205 Perfect Collection I acquired and it's pretty much complete (it even has the black bookmark). It has everything (the cover sleeve is in bad shape unfortunately). I was happy to get the scroll and see it for the first time.

The 3rd Set was considerably cheaper because it was missing all of the accessories and the box/sleeve was a bit torn up. I acquired this in a lot along with a Deka boxed set (the one with Neptuneman and Kinnikuman).

The 4th set is probably my favorite because it reminds me of Japan, I acquired the 205 Perfect Collection box in a flea market (just the box). It was used as a box to hold toys the seller was selling and as I was looking around I noticed it.

I asked if I could just buy the box lol

I ended up using it as a case for the reissue Part 1 to Part 13 Kinkeshi from the DVD set and made high quality scans of the 3 cards that came with the original 205 boxes.

As you can see the owner probably did at some point have the kinkeshi inside the box because it melted the inside of the box (hence why I keep them in a giant ziplock bag)

I always wondered if anyone knows how many of these sets were in production because I dont see them too often online.

I love those, I had one unopened but sold it years back. It's one of the few kinnikuman items I sold that I really regret. Thanks for showing love the pictures

Yes soft rubber, the Japanese Kinkeshi are softer & more rubber like a la pencil eraser (while the Mattel line is PVC/plastic like material & harder)

From the original four 205 Kinnikuman Perfect Collection sets I owned; I have now added four more (in various degrees and conditions). With a total of eight 205 boxed sets.

The first four boxes are complete in terms of the vintage Kinkeshi. The other four boxes are incomplete but also with vintage Kinkeshi.

Two boxes are complete in terms of accessories and the other two are missing accessories; while the other four are missing the 205 sleeve & accessories.

Anytime I see one pop up online or even the box I have to buy it (hahaha)
