PayPal will be cool and reimburse most likely right? I mean, I don't live in CT. And used my card here around 5pm....
Anyone else had this happen with PayPal?

Is your PayPal linked to your bank account or just has your debit card info?
I know my bank reimburses all unauthorized charges if my card is lost/stolen.. You may want to contact your bank first as I'm unsure how well PayPal deals with these issues.

They may have ran it through your bank account connected with your PayPal. I would check with that bank and make sure everything is ok there.
Either way, you will certainly be refunded.

Never had that happen. That sucks. I hope it works out and they reimburse you full amount!

That sucks man. Happened to a guy I know awhile back too. Apparently someone had set up "free wi-fi" at a sandwich shop and was stealing credit card and paypal info from lots of people that way. Pretty devious and effective.
What you need to do is make sure your identity didn't get stolen as well. Sounds like someone make a ghost copy of your card so there is a slim chance they made a fake ID to go with it as well which would be a whole new pain in the ass.

Sorry that happened to you, but it sounds like you will have it sorted out soon and be back on track....for me though, the real mystery is why it was 9 charges to restaurants within a 4 hour period. How much food could this paypal burglar put away in such a short time??? Is there a way you can get a detailed description of said purchases? Why isn't he just going madhouse with the card on more realistic purchases you would expect in this position...material items?
Guess he was mighty hungry.
Hope it all does work out soon brother. That would be financially devastating if it happened to me.

if it were all to places to eat, i'd assume maybe they were buying giftcards. if he went into big box stores, they all have cameras everywhere and using a card there would get you busted in a jiffy.....but places to eat, most of the time dont have cameras everywhere.......so he could buy those, then sell the giftcards on ebay pretty easily as they usually go for face value(sometimes higher)

Bridgeport is a high crime area and is one of the largest cities in CT.
Norfolk is similar to Mayberry R.F.D. most of the year, aside from wealthy Manhattenites occupying much of the non-farm landscape with mansions that are empty 51 weeks of the year. There is also the classical music school run by Yale University that does summer sessions there, but it is pretty much a ghost town the other three seasons of the year. The population is less than 2000.
There are only two restaurants in that town of which I am aware, and neither does very much business, especially this time of year. Only one of them has a bar, and the fact that there were multiple restaurant visits in one night most likely means they were after drinks, as opposed to food or gift cards.
Chances are that if someone from out of town was in there recently, it would stick out in people's minds. Most of the locals are suspicious of outsiders. Might be worth mentioning to any investigator that is pursuing your case...
Also, these locations are kind of far apart, so if you got charges from both places within less than an hour of each other it would point to more than one person using your info.
