LRG March Madness!

What: This March, we're going to have a "Best Little Rubber Guy" tournament!

How: First, we need the roster, right? Each member can submit 2 different minifigures to be included in the tournament.

First, a few rules for submissions:

1. Only one of each sculpt can be represented. No duplicating entries by using MUSCLE and Kinkeshi sculpts, different colors of the same figure, different paint schemes...  Etc.

2. Entries have to be the figure on a black or white background.

3. Each member can submit up to two sculpts, and the 32 figure roster will be filled first-come/first-serve.

4. Any minifigure line under 3" is valid. This includes any wide released, designer or DIY toys. It doesn't matter if they are painted, like Battlebeasts, or mono like MUSCLE.

Once we have 32 figures we'll bracket them up, and run two tournament voting threads (one match from either side of the bracket) each day in March until it is done. The winner will be 2014's LRG champion figure.

My favorite Gormiti--given my name how could he not be my first pick? (picture from 16bit.com)

One of my more formidable MB Halo dudes, the Brute Chieftain (picture from Mega Bloks promotional site.)

(I'm not certain the Chieftain picture is a photo, it might be a CAD rendering. If that's a problem let me know and I'll photograph the one in my collection.)

Selection 1 Behemoth, which should surprise no one. My absolute favorite toy of all time in a slime green Ghostbusters style color:

Selection 2: Bowser. My friend picked him up from China while she was returning home to visit her family:

My Picks:

Black-suited Lego Batman. As far as block/Lego style figures, it doesn't get much better.

5rfj.jpg

And Oars, from the One Piece candy-box line.  Most of the figures are a little too cutesy, but this guy is full blown awesome.

Not that I own any of these gems, but I'd like to one of these days.

4a6a25790c23c58a6bef9d29867a1b34.jpg
Neclaga from Neclos Fortress. Not only is the whole damn line amazing, but this guy is the shit.

Octoegg from Bad Eggz Bunch. This figure has always been one of my all time fave figures. Ever.

Solid choice. This was probably my first ever LRG. I didn't discover what he actually was until just recently.

I'm going to submit these two figures.

The first is a Jabba the Hut-esque figure from Alex Pardee's BUNNYWITH series.

And the second is Deathra from Gargamel's Uchuujin vs. Kaiju series.

And PlasticSouls Critter!
attachicon.gifcritter.jpg

That thing is badass! Did PlasticSoul make it?

I'll make two submissions, both from my own collection. M.U.S.C.L.E. 155 kicks it off:

The other is a bit different...Dusty Rug, from Trash Pack Series 4:

Please excuse the not-so-great photos...I'm still getting used to the new camera's Macro function.

The penultimate entry finally brings a Beast! I'm wondering if WhiteLeo will submit a Pirate Lion for the final post?
